  1. Have all of the original pressings except NYCGF. Their only truly bad record in my opinion. As far as entry points, I'd suggest Dirty, Daydream Nation, or Sonic Nurse.
  2. Already have an OG. However, I do like this reissue because they differentiated this release from the original. The OG has an etching on side D. I wish reissues would seek to be a little different from the originals. This would help maintain the "specialness" of an original yet still get the music back on wax. Not sure if it's dropped yet but I wasn;t wild about the Sigur Ros Takk reissue cause its the exact same as the oringal down to the bonus 10. Same thing with the MM lonesome crowded reissue in that I wish they had kept the two separate LP jackets exclusive to the orginal. Anyway, I purchased a copy even though I have the extra songs on 45s already. Gotta keep my UC collection complete!
  3. Looking to trade a Junta pollock numbered LP w print for a blue Rift. PM plz.
  4. Fantastic looking. Heard really great versions of maze and my friend, my friend in Tuscaloosa a couple weeks ago.
  5. do any of these pledge music releases get released retail? Would it be the same exorbitant price?
  6. Good lord please someone help me out with this one. I'd be soooo grateful. Gotta say it's a cool idea having a post office on site. Id pay for a two for one type of arrangement. Thnx
  7. I'm kind of meh on both Renaissance and Charlemange although both have some crate digging charm. I also really like Oz records in Tuscaloosa. Also grimeys in Nashville, and wax n facts and criminal records in Atlanta are great stores. I also think Atlanta has a wuxtrys out in the burbs that is an excellent store if you can't make it all the way to Athens. If you happen to go through Tuscaloosa be sure to eat at Dreamland ribs and hit up a visit to Denny Chimes and the Paul Bear Bryant Museum if you have any interest in college football.
  8. Pretty chill RSD for me. Local shop was charging $61.99 for Get Behind Me Satan. What a joke!
  9. Does anyone have an idea how many copies recordstore.co.uk typically puts up for their "signed editions"? I could not find that information on their website. Just curious. TIA
  10. Thank you for posting. Still getting fanboy all over this album and signed, so much better than the kazoo version!
  11. not sure how this can be someone's least favorite MMJ release but to each their own. I think the band really went somewhat outside of the box for this release. Many songs have an epic yet timless feel to them.
  12. Thanks for the heads up. This album is beautifully ambitious! It's gonna be fun getting to know the waterfall. No best since proclamations just yet but I'm hopeful.
  13. I would check to see if there is a thread first and if not then start a new one. I prefer this to a catch all "bull moose" pre-order thread. I tend to ignore those and just scan the PO topics for those of interest. Thank you BM. I've really been enjoying the pink/blue swirly Lightning Bolt LP you guys sent me last week.
  14. Thanks for the reply and nice comparison! I think I'll hold off on the speedbox. Thoughts on the accrylic platter?
  15. Thank you for the reply! Does anyone consider this more than a minor annoyance on these turntables? It seems pretty simple. Are there any other advantages for having the separate box? Sorry for the multiple posts but this will be my first significant TT upgrade in over a decade.
  16. Seriously considering this. Few questions... Would you recommend the accrylic platter? Second, how muchy of a pain is switching the belt? I'd rather not have a stupid looking speed box but don't want it to be an ordeal if I'm switching to a 45 rpm LP. Third, opinions on the Bellari preamp? Muchas gracias@
  17. Great set. Hopefully they'll be breaking out Lets Call It Love every once in a while.
  18. I ordered from their site on Monday. Really really fast shipping but I picked whatever the cheapest option was. Live in birmingham AL. I'll also add that side one has a huge gouge that causes skipping over the last two tracks. I'll be following up with their customer service.
