There's just been a lot of whining about prices (and, well, everything else) lately, and I think it's kind of bullshit.  If you choose records as your preferred medium of music, there's an inherent cost that comes with it.  The pizza thing up there actually works for my point.  If you want pizza, you can just cheaply put ketchup on bread, or you spend the money and get better quality.  I'm not saying it doesn't suck that this costs $45, but not all records are going to cost $10, especially high quality, double LP imports.  The hobby(!) isn't cheap.  There's lots of cheaper way to enjoy the music.  Which is why we all buy records, RIGHT?

Got my Clear copy yesterday!  Looks and sounds great!  Truly amazed that there are any of these (Clear version) left.  I thought more people would be into this.

I can kind of already see the day where "physical" everything will be expensive, and stay expensive. I mean what can come after digital music? It would have to go straight in your brain or something.
Things like cassettes, Polaroids, vinyl and probably VHS don't have a bubble to me, they're all luxury items to people who can afford them, and those people will always exist.

Having played guitar for about 13-14 years already, I've found that music theory is not necessary to progress your playing. You can be classically trained all you like, but at the end of the day, it's creativity that matters the most. If you feel limited, try transposing other instruments in songs to guitar. That will have you learning more quickly and give more towards your eventual technique.

Guitar Pedals sounds like a very competitive field.  If your company is successful. Are you going to become the rich, white dickhead you complained about?  Or does that label not apply to people like you?  Hope you didn't have to move in Mom's basement to offset the startup costs.  
 
Good luck to anyone trying to start a new business and lease on life.  Worked for me after 9/11 and I have never been in an office since that day. Even with a marriage, mortgage and 3-year-old daughter all bearing down us, my wife ALWAYS encouraged me with positive feedback.  The only jerks about my decision were my mother and younger brother who worked as a negative team against my family.  They hate that I am mildly successful.  My family finally had enough from them and "lost" contact with them and their negative vibe quickly after my father passed away.  Another great decision.  
 
Never made as much money but the freedom of working for yourself, and the extra effort required to succeed, is NOT under-rated.  Need luck and hard work with balls of steel in this economy.  All the best.  

After 28 years of life, I've come up with this quip to state when necessary. Unless someone else already said it that is more famous. But I have never heard it, and it is often my "I think I'm breaking up with my blah blah blah" or "Things aren't looking good with my blah blah blah." : 

Every girl is crazy. It's all about finding the kind of crazy you can put up with for the rest of your life.

My wife is bat-shit crazy (she knows that I know this). However, her random crying gets cancelled out by the fact that she takes on the dishes and laundry, and if she REALLY wants that vintage lamp at the Antique Barn, then I really don't feel obligated to buy it for her, but I will anyway because she doesn't ask for much (except for milk... she BURNS through a gallon in a day and a half I swear). Plus she puts up with a ton of records and books always showing up in the mail. 

I was in a relationship for three years like the one you have described. She added nothing to the relationship and was the first to complain. Oh, and she didn't work, didn't have a license, didn't graduate high school, and was basically worthless (except for smoking the weed I bought and drinking the liquor I bought). 

Be glad you got out when you did. Find a kind of crazy that works with what you have going on.

At $40, I think I'll be able to resist.
