You may be saying this as a joke, but I actually do miss the younger days of their vinyl label. The randomly inserted variants made the "chase" much more exciting, plus releases were farther in between and much easier on the wallet. I gave up on the variant collection soon after the DW merger. Just couldn't keep up. That being said, their current direction shows they were definitely listening to the general consensus (complainig) from their fans regarding the way they released variants. Can't really blame a company for that...

Tends to happen with Mondo products.

Mondo will typically let you know when something is an open/timed edition. I wouldn't count on these staying up for more than a few days.

I dig the art, but agree that the image doesn't really make for the best cover. Gatefold layout is killer though!

Did they ever refer to the original variant as DNA Splatter? I know it's called the Dilophosaurus typically, but for some reason I recall it being described as DNA in the past...
