  1. Weird. Kang definitely told me that they were sending out all of the 7" now, including the deluxe orders. Sucks that we spent a shit ton of money and have to wait so long for anything.
  2. Sorry. I misread that as "original" CD version. I thought you were asking about the flipbook version. I have the origami CD version. PM an offer if you are interested.
  3. Do you have the origami CD version of Fun Blame Monster? It was a tour exclusive. Only 100 exist. Just wondering.
  4. More info up now. Loser edition is white. 50 people will receive a signed tour poster.
  5. It says it on the Afghan Whigs site as well as the Afghan Whigs mail list. It seems the Sub Pop's preorders have been slow about getting the information out lately. When the Chad VanGaalen preorder went up recently, there was no info other than a buy link. Same thing here. When I ordered, I received a confirmation email that my shipment would go out by January 28th, 2014. Good luck with that!
  6. Really? The 2 LP version from 2007 averages for $23 on Discogs.
  7. Preorder is up now on Subpop. Loser edition! https://megamart.subpop.com/releases/the_afghan_whigs/do_to_the_beast New single up today as well.
  8. You don't need $700 to sound good. My setup only cost $697.92 and it sounds great!
  9. Really? I liked CUTS a lot more than Pleasure. Stoked about this release.
  10. Yes, I am thinking of reviews/ratings of different pressings and how they sound as opposed to album reviews. Similar to amazon's style of reviews - give it a rating out of 5 stars and then a description behind that rating. But the focus would be entirely on sound (and packaging) rather than how good the album is. Modern Vinyl does have good reviews that discuss sound quality, but they don't have the capacity to review every album that comes out, or every pressing either. If there was a site where users could at least rate the sound quality, that would help inform vinyl purchases better. I'd prefer only to buy pressings that sound really good, as I'm sure everyone else would. I don't want a bunch of crap like the MOV repress of Live's Throwing Copper sitting on my shelves. I realize that most records probably sound fine unless someone is complaining about it here, but it takes a lot longer to dig through a message board for reviews than it would to dig through an actual review/rating site. This is something I've been thinking about for awhile. I was just curious if it already existed or if anyone else would find it useful.
  11. Are there any vinyl review sties out there that allow users to post their reviews/ratings? I'm thinking something like Amazon's reviews, except specific for vinyl. It's frustrating that you can't separate the vinyl version reviews on Amazon, but even if you could, there probably aren't that many. I know you can look through these boards or other message boards to get people's opinions, but I'd love to be able to look at a newer release and see how people are rating it before I buy it. I know there are places that post a single review of an album, but I always like to hear more than one opinion. If a site like this doesn't exist already, then maybe I will make one. Thanks!
  12. The only other Liars deluxe I can think of is the Sisterworld one, which is still in print it seems. Unless you count the special limited edition promo pack that came with the first 100 or so Insound preorders. I have that thing. It's just a picture in an envelope. Whoope!
  13. Finally listened to this today. Been waiting until I had my new turntable. Wow. This thing sounds phenomenal.
  14. This looks way better than the WIXIW deluxe.
  15. Will the whole album sound like this song? I love it! Preordering my deluxe right now.
  16. I have a copy that I could be persuaded to part with, especially if you have Sponge - Rotting Pinata on vinyl.
  17. I am going to guess that it's a bootleg copy. The only vinyl versions I know of have different artwork than the CD. Had no idea this was so rare. Glad I have my original .
  18. The rep told me that mine would ship by Friday. If it doesn't, I'll just cancel the order and call Needle Doctor.
  19. Yes, still Musicians Friend. They are very friendly and don't act really pushy about the gold coverage either. Or at least the guy I talked to was that way.
  20. Just ordered my Debut Carbon for $359. 10% off was the best they could do. Not too bad. Can't really find it for any cheaper.
  21. Does the Orbit come with a dust cover? It looks like they sell them separately. Many of the images show the Orbit without the dust cover. If I have to pay $40 extra to buy a dust cover, then I am going with Pro-Ject Carbon for sure.
