Local HT had one copy left this morning. The manager was super cool and held it for me. I now own a perfect copy of The Tom mark and travis show. Very happy. Wonder what they'll do with the perfect vinyl but jacked cover copy I gave them?

Wow that is an awesome deal! I would have jumped on that too. I just saw someone on craigslist here in DC is selling that same cleaner for $500. -
Excellent! Definitely running to the nearest HT tomorrow to do this. Not sure why the CS said I couldn't do it.
-
I asked about that. Customer service said they couldn't do that because it was mailorder, paypal etc.. Guess it wouldn't hurt to try.

Thanks for the reply Travis. Yeah they seemed packed pretty nicely which is why it was such a shock. I didn't even realize the full extent of the damage until I removed the factory plastic to put in my own protective sleeves. The Rancid I can live with. For some reason that one wasn't as bad, but the Blink record is pretty Banged up. The Vinyl itself is ok, but the jacket looks like to been through hell. I guess I can run out tomorrow, if my local HT still has the blink in stock ill buy one, and then call HT customer service back and request a refund for the damaged one.

Man I'm so sorry to hear that. How did this happen? Break in?
-
Hi Travis, I'm not one to complain about things if they can be fixed, But I just received my order from HT. It consisted of The Mark Tom and Travis show, and Rancid s/t. Both the jackets are bad. indentation and Split seams at the top, bent corners on the right,. The Blink 182 Jacket is especially noticeable, I just called HT customer service and they said they couldn't help me with anything because they were out of stock on both items even though I'm currently on the site and it says both are in stock? The guy said the only option was to return them and get a refund. The vinyl is ok and I'd rather keep them than have nothing at all. Can you look into this? I just wanted replacement jackets. i'm not sure what else, if anything that I can do. Thanks

DEFINITELY loving the KAB. I've already cleaned about 30 records and can hear massive improvements on them all. haha I just wish I had the patience to edit them. You just have to watch them all the way through to get the difference I'm not sure what you mean, Are people saying it's best to rinse and repeat with distilled water after the initial first cleaning of a record? Is it supposed to sound even better? Is that the purpose? I'll look into that. I've just started looking around for the best home made solution. I figure it will definitely cut down costs in the long run.

I just posted some videos of the before and after Audio with the KAB EV-1 if anyone is interested. I cant recommend this thing enough. Under $200 is well worth the money. I have no editing skills, so just listen to each clip (around a minute long) from front to back and you will hear the difference. Before: after using KAB EV-1 -
i just posted some audio clips on youtube of before and after using this awesome cleaner if anyone is interested sorry about the editing (meaning there was none). 'Cleaned' dirty record audio using the regular solution with handheld corduroy looking record cleaning brush. Actual sound clip begins 18 seconds in. Audio after using the KAB EV-1. Huge difference. Actual Audio starts 12 seconds in .

You can now preorder the vinyl on the Nuclear blast us site. http://shop.nuclearblast.com/en/products/sound/vinyl/2lp/devil-you-know-the-beauty-of-destruction-black-vinyl-import-.html Is it odd that the preorder I have on amazon.uk is still cheaper shipped than the nuclear blast US preorder before you add the shipping charge?

Mostly the noise. The motor was noticeably loud even when my amp was off, between songs and during quiet parts, the speakers made it twice as loud. I could always hear the "whirrrrrrr" of the engine when it was on and that made me a little mental. Also, the built in pre amp is pretty weak so unless you have a receiver or amp that has a good phono stage in it, you will probably have buy a separate pre amp to get it to sound decent like I did. And lastly, due to the not so great built in pre amp and the extra USB transistor the signal goes through, you're getting a bit of dampened sound as opposed to a more direct and pure source that the other turntables will have because they don't have the 'obstacles' that the LP120 has to get the end result.

Is there such a thing as vinylholics anonymous? I'm pretty sure I need help.
-
The ATlp120 is a decent record player, but if you don't have a need for USB, I would look more towards a player that is bare bones. It will cost more, but it will sound better and you'll be happier. I bought a LP120 and regretted it 5 months later. Ended up selling it on Craigslist and putting the money towards a Rega RP1 9 months after purchasing it. I also looked at the Project Carbon Debut and Uturn Orbit. Any of those options would be better than the AT LP120 in my opinion.

This. Along with Mineral, they need to press all the fireside stuff. I'd be all over those Fantastic Four, Do not Tailgate and Hello Kids if they were pressed on vinyl. .
