  1. My clear with orange splatter from Revolver arrived today. The hand numbered OBI strip was a nice touch.
  2. I'm looking for some advice and possibly a long shot on getting a spare. I have inherited a Yamaha YP-D71 turntable in great condition, however it is missing the arm that the anti skate/bias weight runs through, that has the little black roller at the end of it (pictured below). Without that, i'm afraid the turntable will be pretty much a nice looking paperweight. I was wondering if anyone knows my best shot at finding a spare, or the best was of perhaps making a replacement? I have noticed some of the other models of Yamaha Turntables have a similar set up with that arm, like the Yamaha GT-2000.
  3. https://everytimeidie.net/ I went with the turquoise version.
  4. Following. Would be nice to see a repress of that first EP that only received a VMP pressing.
  5. I have posted in the buy/sell/trade forum also, but thought I would try here too. I am looking for a copy of the 2017 Presitige Pressing of Saxophone Colossus; the QPR pressing done by Kevin Gray. I missed it when it was on Amazon. If you have a spare, or would like to sell yours, please let me know. Would be shipped to Michigan, USA.
  6. As per the title, I am looking for a copy of the 2017 Presitige Pressing of Saxophone Colossus; the QPR pressing done by Kevin Gray. If you have a spare, or would like to part with yours, please let me know. Would be shipped to Michigan, USA. Thanks!
  7. Pre order live. $125 for an autographed copy, by Billy only this time.
  8. Thanks. Grabbed this. I had been looking at buying one of the earlier pressings, but the reviews of the sounds quality weren’t great. The reviews of the new RSD press are good, so hopefully this is the same (since I missed the RSD one).
  9. Looks like these might be moving again, had an email overnight advising a shipping label has been created.
  10. I ended up switching Nada Surf for The Strokes after I subbed using the code. Then I cancelled the sub. So we'll see if I get nothing, Nada Surf, The Strokes or The Strokes and a $29 charge...
  11. I see these anniversary pressings are being marketed as "Newly mastered for vinyl". For those of you that got the recent Sometimes anniversary LP, have you compared it to older pressings? Is there any noticeable differece in the mastering?
  12. Keen to know this too. Also, I wonder if once subscribed using the free code, if you go and change the record, if they will back charge you? I was looking at switching the Nada Surf record for the Strokes Room On Fire
  13. Have been listening to the remixes this morning, and I have not found one I like yet. This is an easy pass for me.
  14. It was part of the price. Personally, I am a fan of signed albums; I dont mind where it's signed, so long as it's not on the record grooves (which I've seen!). I think it's a nice connection to the artist - especially if it's signed in person. Here's the pic from IG I was too lazy post yesterday...
  15. 6 months is plenty of time to organise James to sign these, that would be a nice surprise. I see people on the product page are asking. I see zero chance of Darcy having anything to do with this.
  16. Two different takes on the song. But I'm going to say I like the Black Keys version more (and I'm a big Doors fan). The BK's version is more authentic to the Mississippi hill country style. The Doors cover is definitely the Doors take on a classic.
  17. Went with the Revolver pressing. 74 left now.
  18. Looks like the new album is out tomorrow. No details on phsycial media. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMxGL-UgcdO/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  19. I have Somethin Else on the way and pre-oreded Moanin. What is the sound quality like on Speak No Evil? Probably old news, but new to me. The Tone Poet series is great. I got Now He Sings, Now He Sobs a while back and it sounds incredible.
  20. I’ve been considering giving the Nagaoka MP-110 a try, that might be a cost effective experiment. Last night I played a few records through my headphones, definitely still quite bright, turning the treble down definitely helped a bit.
