It's happening 🤯
I hope it's a good pressing... I've been waiting awhile to get this on vinyl. Such a brutal and great album.

Broke my rule and pre-ordered at Amazon. Hopefully they can follow through this time....

This is it. Viper room is acoustic solo sets from Billy (Adore material) and James (Let it Come Down material).
It would be nice if someone who got Viper room would rip it to digital. The copy on archive.org is raw dog with lots of crowd chatter.

Oh shit I could have sworn I read that it was acoustic somewhere. Whatever
It's the Viper Room that's all acoustic I believe.

Sounds like they're literally just releasing a remix of Bartender and that's it... lame.

In for Broke and the first album for sure!
I hope a vinyl reissue is actually what it is, must be something I'm less interested in like a tour to play the album in its entirety. I know there was an original pressing from Japan but it's kinda pricey and I just never bothered to pony up and buy a copy. I would also love the debut S/T album. Really that one and Broke are the only albums of theirs I got into, after Broke they just kinda fell off for me.

Has anyone made a rip of the Viper Room release? Would love to hear that version from the sound desk, without all the crowd noise.
I was able to find Viper Room on archive.org for free. Couldn't find the 92 live in Japan on there though.

There's a good chance the vinyl version that's been done will sound better, but this is at least a taste.

Posted on Facebook an hour ago: "Anyone that is a fan of the "Broke" record is gonna be freaking out this Friday."
Vinyl reissue maybe? Album was released in 2000 so it'd be 2 years past a 20 year anniversary.

What's up with that color though. If you can't match the album art, just do black for christ sake. smh

This is a release I've been looking out for, must've not gotten any hype at all because I happened to just stumble across it. Love this album!

(hed) p.e. debut self-titled
40 Below Summer - Invitation to the Dance and The Mourning After
Alice In Chains self-titled (reissue)
Barenaked Ladies - Rock Spectacle (one of my favorite live albums of all-time)
Beck - Midnight Vultures (reissue)
Boy Hits Car self-titled
Breaking Benjamin's early stuff - Saturate, We Are Not Alone, Phobia
Caspian reissues that actually sound good
Chevelle Point #1, Vena Sera, Sci-fi Crimes, Hats Off to the Bull, La Gargola
Coheed and Cambria SSTB (reissue/good remaster even better)
Dave Matthews Band Before These Crowded Streets (reissue)
Finger Eleven - Tip and The Greyest of Blue Skies
Flaw - Through the Eyes and Endangered Species
Helmet - Betty and Aftertaste reissues
Incubus - Fungus Amongus and/or Enjoy Incubus EP
Lifer self-titled
Nine Inch Nails Further Down the Spiral and AATCHB WITH the Still EP proper
Powerman 5000 - Mega!! Kung Fu Radio
REM Automatic for the People done properly, recent reissues sound horrible
Reveille - Bleed the Sky
Sinch self-titled and Clearing the Channel (such an underrated band)
Slipknot Iowa!!! reissue...
Spineshank the Height of Callousness
Staind Dysfunction
The Cure Wish reissue
and obviously an unnecessary 5xLP $200 reissue of Tool Lateralus that's not a picture disc

I just realized that there is basically nothing from Alien Ant Farm on vinyl. I want Anthology, it was the 20th anniversary last year and a missed opportunity.
I've been wanting Anthology for a long time, I recall the murmurs of it getting pressed on vinyl for the first time years ago. Such an underrated album, Smooth Criminal cover is probably the weakest song on the album. Flesh and Bone is the best. I'd probably snag the Truant album too though it's not nearly as good.

And they all sound ridiculously good. The definitive editions are all better than the original pressings.
That's a bold statement. I haven't heard the definitive pressing of TDS but my 2008 Kevin Gray pressing is gonna be hard to beat... now you got me wanting to find the definitive press to do a side-by-side.

I'm going to be fuming mad if I somehow miss out on a copy of the full-length album when that does come. Sometimes I just don't understand how someone is supposed to be a responsible adult with a family and job AND be able to catch these out-of-left-field limited vinyl pre-order announcements. There's been times when I've even known in advance, set an alarm on my phone, and still can't get in there and secure a purchase fast enough even when I'm right on top of it. Then I gotta pay flipper prices if I want one, ugh. This 2-track single is fetching $150+ on ebay, how do these people sleep at night?

Wait, so this thread is pointless? Or there’s a new pressing coming? I’m confused.
To me it smells like a EU bootleg, can't really find much info on it at all. I highly doubt there would be a EU only reissue of it and nothing in the US. Probably just something to be looking out for.
-
I was fortunate enough to have snagged Vol. 3 from one of the RSDs that had it some years ago when RSD was worth a shit. Got one of the earlier reissues of S/T too. Only ones I'm missing is Iowa and All Hope Is Gone.

Its likely simply more units printed under the latest mastering job thereby not a "new" or different pressing technically. You don't need to add a new entry for that. If there are identifiers in the barcode or matrix numbers that differ from the latest known pressing, then that would require adding a new entry.
People make a new entry for anything on there. I picked up an Analogue Productions copy of Norah Jones' Come Away With Me and it's been reissued 3 times (2012, 2019 and 2021) all with the same exact identifiers (barcode, catalog number, matrix runout etchings), the only difference i think i saw in the notes was that the 2012 issue had the Blue Note logo included on the labels while the 2019 and 2021 versions do not. Point being, there is a separate listing for all 3 of them.

Picked up SNW, KNY, and the White Pony repress from 1,2,3,4. Thanks!
Oh wow, didn't even notice they had other albums too. No problem, happy to help out!

I found one at my local shop. Dude at the counter said most of their catalog got reprinted and was available for order.
That's strange, if there was a repress, someone on discogs surely would've made a new entry. This Oakland shop is selling them under the 2012 release.
-
somewhat unrelated, but I didn't want to start a new thread just to tell you all that there is a bunch of new sealed listings for Deftones' Saturday Night Wrist on discogs for pretty cheap. Some indie record shop in Oakland must've run into a mess of them. In case it's missing from anyone's collection...

Just ordered mine through Acoustic Sounds. Hopefully they haven't overshot the inventory they'll receive. Nothing makes me more angry than putting in a pre-order only to have it cancelled because the company took in more pre-orders than they're able to fulfill. Precisely the reason I will never pre-order through Amazon or SRC again as that's happened to me twice from both of those places.
