  1. That reminds me of when I used to get music off blogs. I had my ipod stolen a few years ago, between that and a hard drive crash I lost SO MUCH fucking emo music. Tons and tons of shit from bands between like 2000-2011 that I could never in a million years remember the names of. Bands that just put out demos or maybe a couple 7"s or an LP. Going to start an emo band about forgetting about emo bands.
  2. Their 7"s aren't hard to come by, butI'd like to see this discography comp pressed
  3. Back in my day we called kids in Taking Back Sunday shirts with myspaces emo AND WE LIKED IT
  4. Catamaran is my fucking jam, but really all their songs own. Especially their first album.
  5. I'm about to get real serious for a second: I missed Bear vs Shark FOUR times while I was working less than a mile from the venue. Well, three times and then the fourth I requested off to go and then my high school girlfriend said I wasn't allowed to go to shows alone because I'd cheat on her or something. I am a huge piece of shit and I regret every decision I've ever made. There was another time I had tickets to a show that was Bear vs Shark, Curl Up and Die, and Horse the Band but it got canceled.
  6. The best emo band isn't even from the 90s or the current "revival" Bear vs Shark for goddamn life. Speaking of the 90s though, someone who does that sort ofthing should press this record
  7. Since it's not official, I think it can be about all emo. Even that late 80s Dischord stuff.
  8. It was the year after I dropped out of college for the third time. I might be too old. Their last show ruled but I was sad that Algernon and 1994! weren't that great because I love their records. TWIABP killed it though. I saw them like 4 times that year.
  9. I was at the last Snowing show. It was me. I killed emo. (If emo didn't die in the 90s then it will live forever)
  10. That site sounds good but I guess they can refuse payment on shit if it's not up to their "standards" and not send your stuff back. That sketches me out a bit too much.
  11. My greatest rubik's cube accomplishment: I was 3 or 4 and my grandmother had a rubik's cube. When everyone was in the other room I took all the stickers off and put them back on and then told everyone I solved it.
  12. Firefly was dope, but it's one of the most overrated things. It would have been awesome if it got more than one season, but it didn't and I've moved on. The movie was only ok. Definitely check it out though.
  13. Speaking of Jim Jarmusch films, does anyone know if Neil Young's score for Dead Man ever got pressed? I figured I'd google it before posting and OF COURSE it's only being sold for $200+ so that's a huge bummer.
  14. This is exactly how I imagine everyone who says The Beatles are their favorite band. Boring.
  15. When Netflix suggests stuff like that I just assume it's set to recommend it to everyone in a desperate "We paid money for this, please someone watch it so we don't feel like even bigger idiots than we already do." There was a big article a few months back about the how netflix categories and suggestions work. There are an absurd number of classifications they use and so a lot of great movies can result in recommendations for garbage. Sometimes Netflix recommends me cool stuff, other times it doesn't. I'm pretty whatever about it. http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2014/01/how-netflix-reverse-engineered-hollywood/282679/
  16. Jesus, how much do you weigh? That would get me like "FUCKED UP" level drunk. I don't mean that first part to sound so shitty, I'm truly wondering how you have such a tolerance.
  17. The mint green is sexy. As for the download code you could try TWIABP's bandcamp. They usually have "pay what you want" or links to mediafire downloads.
  18. The trick is to run, jump, and then think about it. By which I mean think about how to not kick people and how to land and not die if you get dropped. All of those are things that only matter once you're in the air.
  19. The older I get the less I go to shows. This year I've been to one, last year I went to maybe three. Before that maybe five. I still stage dive every damn time. Although last month I really hurt my back diving, but whatever, stage dives until I die. This is such a bummer.
  20. That Elliott Smith still had some life in it. I just read what I wrote and my phrasing made me very very sad.
  21. Both songs rule. B-side is spacey as fuck. From tumblr:
  22. Another cool story: it took me way too long to get the cool starry bra picture. First few times I saw it I was like "I guess that's a funny name for a bra?" I hope they put up the audio from the discography tape soon. The tape deck in my car is busted.
  23. Wore my mystery shirt today. A couple people were like "What's your shirt mean?" and I just shrugged and said "It's a mystery." So that was fun.
