  1. I used to be a huge Magic: The Gathering nerd when I was a boy, and for a while like I've considered the Time Walk guy on the back of my leg. Guy on the left with the clock face. p Hope that's not too big. Otherwise, I've got the words 'Keep Going' on my forearm, I got it a long time ago when I was having a shitty time in life - lost car, lost job, about to lose home - and my friend was just getting into tattoos and offered me a free one as way of advertisement. It's crude, and she quit tattooing people about 8 months later, so it's kind of, uh, limited edition, but I still like it, it reminds me about the bullshit times and how they have unexpected consequences. I've also got part of the cover art from Black Moth Super Rainbow - Start A People on my front bicep, for lots of reasons, but the short version is I love that album and the feelings it gives me.
  2. I'm tempted, I'm really tempted. Music For The Masses, Some Great Reward, Songs Of Faith And Devotion, Violator, and maybe Exciter or Ultra or something. I just don't wanna run up a huge bill on these... I wonder why they're varying prices?
  3. Anyone bought a record, like... in an actual K-Mart? I haven't been in one for a while even though there's one in my town, I've always just gone to Target, Wal-Mart in a pinch. Do they have a vinyl section?
  4. Is white going to be available at, just, random shops? I hope that's not the case.
  5. That IS better, yes. Some of those links don't work so well, like the Burger Records one, for instance Just sayin'.
  6. Isn't there some grocery-bagger-style order in the way stuff gets shipped? Like, the stuff labelled 'fragile' are the 'eggs' and always go at the top, and small thin packages naturally don't get shipped at the bottom? Or is it like, your boss is saying 'get these 40 shipments done in 2 hours' and you kinda just have to make it work?
  7. Watched this thread from the beginning, even though I was not interested in anything he had to offer I almost made a condolences post. I'm really glad I didn't. There's 'shitty person' or 'scammer', and then there's 'scum'. When you play off people's emotions, their memories of people close to them, and their utter sympathy for the human condition to make a piddling hundred bucks or whatever, that is 'scum'. I know this isn't necessary but damn. I couldn't say nothing.
  8. Maybe a little description of the type of music that label tends to do and some example bands for each link? Because, yeah, the effort is appreciated but that'll take forever to sift through.
  9. Grabbed the Dance Gavin Dance LP's. I actually haven't listened to them in a while but I was obsessed with DBM for a good while there, I'll be glad to have it.
  10. Overseas is $60 I think. This was my very thought when I first saw the announcement.

  12. Takin it waaaaaaaay back. I think I still know all the words, that's kinda sad. Wait, Snoop Dogg was in this video?
  13. Don't know anything about SRC except that I want Robbers and Cowards, but 30 ppd for a repress seems steep.
  14. Got Aloha - Home Acres in a Polyvinyl grab bag. What a great fucking album.

    1. Aych

      Aych

Love that album. I keep meaning to grab it, but it always slips out of my mind.

      Aloha so underrated

  15. I can agree with this. I think there's a certain pressure round here to always be pricing way below what any other site would, otherwise they're 'ebay prices'. That said, this is the flip side of that. Pricing so high that its almost pointless to make a thread at all, and being shocked when people mention it. This and the Mutemath guy.
  16. I don't sell too much on here. I do what I can but I've only sold one thing, so that's not my concern. Today I sold Alexisonfire - iTunes Originals to some guy from Canada that joined that day, I was a little on edge but I've had it for so long I decided to take a chance on the guy. I don't think it's uncommon for people to join Discogs once they find one record they were looking for - I did it with my first online record purchase. But I also read the Terrible Buyers/Sellers thread too, so I'm cautious. I can't ask buyers to gift me money thru Discogs, not in any way that I know of, and in my seller terms I state that tracking/insurance is available for those who request it. Maybe I will require tracking for all non-US orders in the future, I just wasn't thinking about that today until it was a done deal.
