Holy shit. Just listened. This is Beyond/Majesty Shredding territory. John Reis is an American hero.

Finally got a chance to spin this and I love it. Classic Hot Snakes and it's really brutal.

The record is in, and damn is it good. Like all good Hot Snakes, it makes me scowl and bob my head. Maybe shred some air guitar. The answers to life's biggest questions may even be hidden here. So glad they're back. 

Good news and bad news:
In a pretty sudden change of plans, I decided to buy a ticket to the show while in line for the popup shop, meaning I was only able to purchase a record for myself in an effort to not spend an irresponsible amount of money in the course of an hour or two. Since arenas usually put up the tickets that they held onto for promotions but never got rid of on the day of the show, I ended up getting a pretty excellent seat. Travis Scott rode a mechanical bird. I had fun.
 
In a more unfortunate turn of events, I opened the copy of the record I purchased a couple minutes ago, only to discover that it was black, despite being red on the menu I was handed in the shop, so I guess everything worked out (?) 

Now $36 lollerdollarz.

Thank you all so much for the support! We have been developing this lathe for the past 1 1/2 years, and we are so excited to finally bring it to the world.
 
I am 100% aware that lathe cuts usually suck. But, if you have the most up to date equipment, and you know what you're doing, you can get really great results. I wanted to share with you all a rip I made from a cut of the amazing "Born To Run" by The Boss, so that you could get an idea of what our cuts sound like. This is the actual thing, recorded strait from the record player.

There's a "loose/lose" typo in the lyrics and it puts a dent in the whole thing.

I was wrong. It's not their first vinyl release. The "One, Two, Three, Four" e.p. came out first. But it has "Carbon Scoring" on it. It also has the band, Carrier, which was Rick Burch's band before he joined JEW, and Schon Theory, which was another band that Jim Adkins was in.
I'm surprised it's not listed on Discogs..

Oddly enough, the opening track just made me 'sure and certain' that I'm going to pick up one of these..

they just released the opening track, "you with me." its so pretty wow.

I mentioned it to Jim today, and asked if he knew if Fender would be releasing them for retail... sadly he didn't know. I have been harassing Fender the past day about it though. I have the natural wood finish but damn that all white looks amazing.
