I think we're trying to please a few different kinds of collectors.
 
I know the thing I love the most is walking into a shop and seeing some crazy rare record on the wall.
maybe something I didn't know existed or something I have never seen in person.
 
 a lot of shops use this as a chance to over price these records but we are trying our best to
not.
 
also we have some cool ideas on how to present the LPs that we haven't shared with a lot of people.
but we're going to be featuring all of our LPs with our own Obi Strips. 
these will make flipping and digging easier.
our obi's will have all the pressing information, color , condition, price and other cool info on it.
 
i'm hoping buyers will appreciate the extra effort.

Hey guys, this community was huge for me in the past but I haven't really posted in a long time. I started working at a job that does not pay enough to support a vinyl habit so I kind of stopped buying records. I sold off most of my collection and am kind of just joining the digital age. I continue to do stand up comedy in Chicago and around the US. I've got a show in Nashville on the 8th at 11pm at the Third Coast Comedy Club and in NYC the last Saturday of the month at Creek and the Cave. I also started a podcast where I talk to people about dating and relationships and sometimes when recording it I'm reminded of the MAN ADVICE thread on this very site and how supportive people were of one another. we are a live music channel that is hosted in Westmont, Illinois in Mike Felumlee's basement. he is the original (and current!) drummer of Smoking Popes, and was the drummer of Alkaline Trio for the From Here To Infirmary album.
we have bands come in a record a few songs, and sometimes we'll do interviews with them, too. new videos get posted to the channel every Tuesday and Thursday. we've had some amazing bands in so far, and have some really, really big shit planned for the rest of 2017 and beyond. here are a couple examples of videos we've done. if you're into them, like our page on facebook and subscribe to the youtube channel!

this has always, always been a dream of mine.
please, for the love of god, invest in a good camera before you leave so you can take a million amazing pictures. and keep a journal/blog of some kind to be able to remember the little details (where/what you ate, interactions you have with people, etc.) 5 years from now.
i'm super jealous of you taking this leap. good luck, and safe travels!

I've successfully stayed away, not so much out of want, but out of necessity. 
Things that are new with me since last visiting a few years back:
- I got married
- I started an ongoing film series here in Buffalo called Cultivate Cinema Circle
- I am managing a makerspace and recording studio that are both free and open to the public at the Buffalo downtown library
- I am writing quite a lot of film criticism for a number of outlets and festivals
- I moved to a smaller, nicer apartment
- Thanks to my incoming tax return, I am doing some minor upgrades to my audio setup

+ Sold a rare Brazilian jazz record on ebay for $800. I bought it for $2.12 w/ tax

for the time being, no. unfortunately, it's just not in the budget right now to add another few grand to this project. it would have to be a double LP at least, and probably even a triple LP to get it sounding REALLY good. the total running time of the comp is 1:19:53. add the cost of doing vinyl to the high cost of licensing everything properly and legally, and it just isn't very feasible for a small label like me. i wish i could, it's just not realistic.
