I consider myself a heavy gamer, I play a fair bit, but I gotta be honest, I don't even recognise half of these releases lately. Never heard of Drift Stage, or Furi....
 

I would love for her to put a 12" out of the Deluxe bonus cuts, the Target bonus tracks and the EMOTION remix LP non remix cuts.
 
 

They aren't cheap to make, but they aren't THAT expensive. That record could be sold for $18-$22, and it would have been a couple of years ago.
 
We've been like frogs in boiling water for awhile. 

I was so surprised at how incredible that pressing was. Probably my favorite heavy album on wax. Fortunately, Cory seems to be something of an audiophile and NJ seems to be Solid State's primary focus this time around, so hopefully those increase our chances of a good pressing.

Tourist History is so catchy but nothing else has quite caught my ear the same.

Wrongdoers sounds so amazing on vinyl and I really don't want Solid State's cheap tendencies to get in the way of this record sounding just as good. fingers crossed.

I don't know when the release date is which is why I have held off for over a year now in announcing it. Probably late summer or early fall. Tests have been approved, that's all I know right now.
1500 copies split between 3 variants: /300, /500, /700.
Shipping will not be $10. You'll be able to walk away with a copy of this record for less than $25 shipped. Wish it was cheaper but Universal sets the price, not me.
T&N has nothing to do with this, it won't be in their store. They don't even own their own releases anymore. When they press one of their own titles on vinyl they are paying Universal to license it.

No white vinyl. Three different colorways.
Will include a printed innersleeve.

I just want so say.. Im so thankful this is getting pressed, i truly love this album... While silyayd will always be amazing, and cns is completely from the heart...i just really like there style in this album and the lyrics really make you question things (so does cns but in a different way)
 
this is a record that will sit on my turntable awhile b/c its thats good.
 
any recomendations from the one human that i am.. Please dont do white vinyl lol. Ill still buy regardless.. But thats the only color that usually has errors.
 
i really wish they would tour soon... Like maybe in support of this release?  or even better some new music haha

Gates was almost impossible to get on but it happened and Aerials was just impossible.

My daughter is reading a book called the acoustic rooster at school which is about jazz musicians baryard animals (Mule Davis, Ella Finchgerald, Duck Ellington etc). Anyway, since she started talking about it in school and learning more about jazz she's wanted to listen to jazz records. I have some Coltrane and Miles Davis, but she keeps asking me to get some Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald records. How can I not take advantage of this opportunity to share jazz with her right?haha
 
So, that being said, do you guys have any recommendations for albums to check out by Ella and Louis?

Good bump guys. Haven't bought too much jazz recently. I did, however, find this obscure Brazilian jazz record recently. I haven't listened to it yet, but since it goes for so much, I bet it's probably pretty freaking good.

Also, it was at a thrift store for $2 that had just been picked over by a local second-hand store that now sells the vinylz. He also missed a first pressing of Coleman Hawkins - "The Hawk Flies High." It was also $2.

This is a nicely mellow record by Pete La Roca with a little bit of a Euro jazz/spiritual jazz vibe. Originals aren't that expensive. It's got John Gilmore, Chick Corea, Walter Booker, and Pete La Roca.
 
 

Listened to OK and OK#2 a few times really "absorb" them...they may be different mixes and whatnot...but hell, OK#2 sounds like the demo versions of OK. Nothing mind-blowing on a remix level.
 
Can't wait for OK#3....it'll be the piano and acoustic guitar demos, right?
 

 
 

I played drums for these guys for a year or so back when they first moved to Portland in 2011. Really stoked to see the success they're having right now. Isaac's work ethic/songwriting chops are second to none. 

Gonna wait it out, can't see them only doing a standard run of black.
