  1. Well since we're all here....have you guys heard this Buddy Guy record? Pretty heavy for an old blues dude.
  2. I own the Castle reissue & don't need to purchase this but I think it's pretty damn good & figured I'd post it here whether most VCers are into it or not. Anyways, Lee Moses' Time & Place LP reissue. Limited to 300 red & gold & a standard black vinyl: http://lightintheattic.net/releases/2534-time-and-place The 2007 Castle version of this was a double LP & includes songs from every 45 he's released as well. Unfortunately this LITA reissue is just the original LP. His best songs are on this LP though IMO. His covers of Hey Joe & California Dreaming are pretty amazing but my fav song on this album is Got That Will which will be posted below for your listening pleasure Dig it!
  3. Give it a couple weeks. The value of the GBP is expected to drop at least another 10%. It's not like they can turn it around over night either.
  4. I don't know man. ZaxHomemadePlus Records sold on Etsy & limited to 12 copies seems totally legit to me.
  5. No, I live in California but I'm pretty sure I have an overly tan 70 year old woman who only drinks highballs, smokes a pack a day & has been a lifelong bowler trapped inside of me.
  6. I buy all my frames at http://www.craigframes.com/ & they have 17 x 36 available for most frames & should run you $50-$60 + shipping. I have about 8 frames from them & have seen people post pics of prints professionally framed that have a couple of the same frames I've picked up from Craigs. If you'd rather use glass than the acrylic sheet it comes with, Ace hardware will cut you a custom piece for like $10. Frame spacers & an acid free backing board are relatively inexpensive if you'd like this print to last awhile. I'm a huge fan of over the top gaudy frames so here's a 24 x 36 print in a frame from Craigframes with glass from Ace, an acid free backing board & frame spacers for about $100 total: p.s. Framing prints can be extremely fun & addicting. I started with one stupid Thing print a couple years ago & now I have 32 things framed I've all done myself. I NEED MORE WALL SPACE!
  7. Yeah it sucks man. Identical thing happened to me but I was pretty lucky no real damage happened. Probably helps that I'm only 2' 10" tall though.
  8. Crazy! Cheapest one for sale on Discogs is $569!!
  9. Don't worry. The record is worth less than you paid for it.
  10. The real question is how many threads must Tug start before he finds his answer?
  11. I don't know how to post a gif with the new forum style. p.s. I also can't figure out how to delete a post now.
  12. I don't dislike SubRosa but they sound like doom music for LARPers to me. RENFAIRE FTW!
  13. That's only supposed to happen in South America!
  14. He told you to mark them as a gift to avoid import taxes. So if you've been doing that & you've had no further fees, that is probably why.
  15. Are you sure you aren't talking about import fees & taxes & not some arbitrary charge by a corrupt postal employee? Or are they just really considerate when it comes to gifts?
  16. I have a Gillman but I'm looking for a Wolfman so if you can trade for a Wolfman, I'll swap.... well you get the idea.
  17. Pretty sure you missed the point. There was a time when the music on the record & not the quantity pressed was used as the sales pitch.
  18. Nice find. This rules. Apparently there's several of these by Scufflin' Records. There's a Bernie Worrell one & a full LP of Beck songs Beck's Where It's At I'm gonna need all of these. I've been collecting 60s & 70s records of elevator & instrumental pop covers for years now. I've been meaning to post the stuff I have that isn't on youtube on there but I'm lazy. I did put up a Hugo Strasser LP that has Sabbath's Paranoid on it. I love this stuff. Paranoid instrumental Which also reminds me that I came across a James Last cover of "Immigrant Song" on a Soviet era reel-to-reel not to long ago on youtube. Crazy.
  19. The official release date for the retail versions of the Monster Squad 7"s is the 20th. All the Gillmans online were pre-orders. The Crash site states they won't even ship until the 20th. The Frankensteins on eBay are probably just dick stores selling them marked up like the one listed at $59.99 by Yellow Dog Discs which is actually a brick & mortar store. Pretty shitty on their part I think. So anyway, you're probably not going to find any in stores until after the actual release date.
