Upgraded my Rogue Sphinx to a Sphinx V2.
Got a GREAT deal on a pair of demo ATC SCM11s.

The AR's that Vinyl Nirvana does are also good to do and might be easier to find as a doner over there. I have to say he has impeccable taste for what he uses as a starting point.

Fun to do on a scruffy one, the problem is scruffy ones are hard to find now even over here
 
The other ones that are fun to do are the Lenco's

A Cardas rewire is a big upgrade in pretty much any arm and one of the cheapest upgrades you can do to a turntable. It's amazing the difference it makes and the only limit then is the phono stage you plug it into so yes a Cardas wired 202 will be night and day better than a stock 303

I'm really happy with the V2. The two main things they said were improvements are clearly improved - lower noise floor and upgraded phono pre. 
 
I didn't try any other Rogue Gear. What happened was some of my pots were really scratchy and the input selector was making a bad pop when I switched inputs so I was sending my V1 to them to service and instead we agreed to a deal where they send me V2 for a small amount of cash. Super great company.

The OG's of the first two sounds amazing, so hopefully the represses will sound just as good for those needing these.

My copies of Skyscraper and Elk Lake pressed by Badman sound great, but don't have TCIG, so that's good to know. Thanks!

Those two LPs you report as noisy LPs were from Last Gang Arts & Crafts (thanks for the fix dartmike). I haven't even heard the music from either of those, never mind the vinyl, as Hayden's earlier work really resonates with me.
This is on Hardwood Records. Their numbered RSD pressing of The Closer I Get was a quality pressing, so I have high hopes for this as well. Side note: They could easily press another 500 of The Closer I Get... was kind of difficult to find that one when released and is now quite scarce again.

I set the suspension this morning after your encouragement (thanks). It went really well - tighter more present low end and more clarity overall. 
 
I'm coming around to your opinion of the vintage tables, in the past I've definitely encouraged friends to get new pro-ject tables, but my experience with this Thorens will at least make me rethink that advice. I still think for a novice a plug and play Pro-ject might be the way to go, since this Thorens definitely takes some know-how to get to a good place. I'm really happy I took the plunge. Between this and my Clearaudio Concept I feel like a have a nice pairing of TT's.

Before/After

Mine is at the Jersey City facility.  USPS tracking says it'll be here in 7 days, but I usually get stuff that leaves Jersey City faster.
