Le Gogh got a reaction from Blumplum in Songs of Zelda: A Link to the Celts - Pressing Interest
So I sent a message to Eimear Noone via Kickstarter and asked whether the "Link To The Celts" album would get a vinyl pressing...
She replied saying it wouldn't be worth doing unless there were at least 200 people interested, and asked if there would be a demand for it.
I told her I'd happily post on here to see if I could drum up some numbers.
WalnutSoap suggested using Thunderclap, so I've signed up there and created a page. It'll take a couple of days to be approved but once it is I'll share the link as that will allow me to publicly collate numbers.
If this goes well then who knows, maybe this could lead to Nintendo getting wind of the need for other things to be pressed....?

Edit: Here's the Thunderclap link. Please go here to support and I will pass numbers on if there's enough interest - https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/28335-vinyl-a-link-to-the-celts

Le Gogh got a reaction from buddha4281 in A vertical record player, cause screw it...
Oh god! I just re-read the article and completely missed this INCREDIBLE selling point!
"This vinyl record player works with built-in full-range stereo speakers AND has the ability to send signal out to the speakers you've got in the corners of your room with RCA line-out"
What a time to be alive....

Le Gogh reacted to jameshays in My vinyl "investment"
I cut the original post short and forgot the best part! With my vinyl sales last month, I will have enough for a second Crosley, and that's really great news. Also just so this isn't a "look what I did" thread, I'll share another money saving tip.
I rigged my daughter's guinea pig exercise wheel to a lithium battery which powers my Crosley. In less than a year's time I will have saved enough in power consumption to fund a third Crosley (and hopefully a set of Taylor Swift slip mats) and my listening environment will be complete. It was a tricky setup but am happy to send schematics to anyone who wants. Just let me know!

Le Gogh reacted to joebob in PO (Soon): Streets of Rage and Shenmue OSTs
From the email:
As thanks for your interest, we will be using a password system to give everyone on the mailing list a chance to enter the website early. We are hoping this will also take some of the strain off our site and prevent it from crashing. This is the plan anyway!
So here’s how it will work...
Starting on 30th May (based on UK time), we will be mailing out passwords at various times. These passwords will only work for a limited time (the deadline will be stated in the email, you’ll have a few hours). It does not matter what time you get the password – everyone will be given an equal opportunity to get what they want. Once all of the passwords have expired, the shop will then open to the general public.

Picture of the frames as promised! They've come out looking great, need to finish off series 2. Makes me want to frame up some more now...

Man, I have like 4 left to get on series 2. Might resort to eBay as I can't be bothered with the hassle!
I ordered the Series 1 and 2 mounts from here to go with some Ikea Ribba frames. Will post some pictures when they arrive:

I went to Ikea today and noticed these while I was there. They're new (hence the label), but basically they're just the right size to fit a heap of 7" records in, and they're dirt cheap. Also, they're untreated so I should think they'd be easy to stain, paint, or do whatever the hell you want with. I'm not really into 7" records myself, but I hope this helps some of you!

Wait, this is for the animated films right? I got excited thinking this was for the Peter Jackson films...

Le Gogh reacted to paynegretzky in PO: NOTHING - Guilty of Everything LP
I have a DL code for this album (Guilty). Normally I'd post it in the DL codes thread but dudes with 3 post always scoop them up, so if any Nothing fans want the album digitally, here's the 'fo:

Kwik E Mart looks great! Man I can't wait to pick it up, looks great next to the house. Gonna have to wait a while to pick it up though. I also need to get more modular buildings! I picked up the pet shop a while back as I heard it was being discontinued.
On the plus side I picked up some more series 2 figures! (you can see the bottom of my wife's bird set in the background)

Le Gogh got a reaction from Duff in Bleed American single LP press in August?
To be fair I've only ever seen positive stuff about them, so I've no doubt they're good. I can understand when they're a small company that international shipping is probably a nightmare, it's just frustrating that you guys get a lot of great releases that we have to pay through the nose for, or can't get.
That said, we did get the EU /100 white copy of Periphery's latest album over here, so it's not all bad.

Le Gogh got a reaction from soundofsilver in PO: Blur -The Magic Whip
Ha, brilliant! I think this is probably the first and ONLY song to reference where I live ("the 5.14 to East Grinstead").
Good song though regardless. I may pick this album up, always had a bit of a soft spot for Blur...

Le Gogh got a reaction from SubstituteForLove in Richer Sounds Project Turntable RSD Deal - Free Spin Clean Washer and Phono Pre-Amp!
So I'm on the Richer Sounds mailing list here in the UK and noticed that they're doing what could possibly be a pretty good deal. Thought I put it out there and see if it helps anyone out. I have no experience of the washer or pre amp so maybe someone else can chime in with their opinion!
The offer seems to be as follows:
"Spend more than £300 on a Project Turntable and claim a free Spin Clean Record Washer MK2". The purchase has to be made on RSD, and probably in-store.
Not only that, the same email says that if you buy the Project Debut Carbon at £325 and are a VIP member then you get a free Cambridge Audio
551P phono pre-amp. No idea if this can be claimed as well as the washer, but if so this is a pretty good offer, especially considering the original retail cost of all 3 items. Might be a good option for those on a low budget who can afford to buy all 3 and then sell the pre amp and washer?
Lastly, the email does contain a £10 voucher but it says it cant be used with any other offers, so assuming you cant use this with the above!
Hopefully this link will work:

Le Gogh got a reaction from verb1999 in PO: MOV Korn Discography
My copy of Life Is Peachy turned up yesterday, it sounds great, and I always think that clear vinyl looks so epic. Have to admit that spinning it made me realise that I've always neglected listening to the album in favour of their other stuff, but I actually really love it. I think it just gets forgotten because it suffers from being in the shadow of their first album...
Put my preorder in for Issues, really looking forward to that! The MOV presses have been top notch.

Le Gogh got a reaction from Fridge Fox in Video game OSTs
This is also a bit random, and I know this is more of a compilation, BUT, I would freaking love a pressing of the first few Tony Hawk's Pro Skater soundtracks! Those games and songs bring back so many great memories...
