I assume he didn't want something like Live After Deaf happening again, but I too think he made a lot of these. But being a RA vinyl junkie as well, I had to have it. I'm stoked about the 17 unreleased tracks 

I love it! Looks so good I want to redo my room now. 

Spent the last couple days remodeling my office / record listening / storage area. Still a couple smaller things to do, like waiting for my 7" wooden boxes, new speakers and a couple more frames to arrive, but this is pretty much it.

Friends of Sound Records is located on south congress and tucked away in a cool back alley. Super local store since many people in Austin don't even know it's there. Waterloo is always great but if you want a unique place that not everyone checks out, Friends of Sound Records is the place to go. They also have a special bin you can ask for that will have rare bootleg vinyl. I've gotten lucky there a few times with rare items you would have a hard time finding anywhere else!

I went to Waterloo when I was in town for South By a few years ago. Pretty cool place.  Grabbed St. Vincent self-titled (after seeing her at the NPR showcase the night before and not having her new album on wax yet). Beck's Guero and this awesome third man records slipmat that's still on my TT.  Wasn't able to check out any shops when I was in town, but I'll hopefully be back for SX this year so I'll definitely be hitting up the other shops while in town.  http://s2.photobucket.com/user/XbigcX187/media/photo_zpsb8e91124.jpg.html

I hope they will reveal what's in the freakin box maybe on the 19th when the 'first access sign up' ends...can't wait!

Can you be a little more specific? The river cuts through a decent part of town.
 
End of an Ear and Waterloo have the best selections. Waterloo is at Lamar and 6th. End of an Ear just opened a new spot just off Ben White, but I haven't been to the new location  yet. I hear it's awesome though. Waterloo is a bit overpriced, but solid selection.

I don't understand this price at all. I'm a die hard MM fan who purchased this regardless of the price but I feel cheated because of the price. 
 
Dont get get me wrong, I just paid $120 on eBay for a copy of armistice but when it's being sold for $75 direct from the band it's over the top. It feels like a cash grab... it's more about the principle than the price. 

Just got a new custom cabinet for my 7" records.

Well that's enough for me to completely pass on this year's RSDBF.

Not sure if anyone saw this but someone ripped the Spin Facebook livestream and upped it to Youtube (can't see much, but audio is passable). May well be taken down soon, but I'm 2/3 through and it's incredible. Such growth as a group/artist and it sounds great. Can't wait for it to be out for real.

Nah no conspiracy. Quantity per order became limited when we saw a couple of unusually high number of box sets being ordered by one person. Wanted to make sure real fans could buy them and not just some guy w/ an online store who wants to try to flip them for a profit once they sold out.

i have a second copy of the Loser edition of Old Ramon. Im not looking to flip it for money, just cover what i paid plus shipping to you and i'll be glad to send it anywhere. Its still sealed and in mint condition. 

So i picked up Pheobe's PAX AM 7" vinyl when it came out and i'm still obsessed!! her voice and atmospheric music is quite addicting. Does anyone else know of other recordings or future album details?
