I went to Ikea today and noticed these while I was there. They're new (hence the label), but basically they're just the right size to fit a heap of 7" records in, and they're dirt cheap. Also, they're untreated so I should think they'd be easy to stain, paint, or do whatever the hell you want with. I'm not really into 7" records myself, but I hope this helps some of you!

So we're in the midst of a remodel and we had already torn out the old fireplace that was sure to burn the place to the ground eventually.  After going back and forth a few times my wife gave the go-ahead to a built-in with record storage, a couple of shelves for some of her curios, a little bench, and a skylight.  Its pretty much done... just need to finish the stain and a couple of coats of satin poly.  The 8 main storage areas are mostly equivalent to 12 Expedits worth of LP storage.  Its all 3/4" oak ply and solid oak trim on a 2x frame.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and can't wait to get the records loaded into it.

I'm not trying to say that the exact words I put in quotes are actually what you said, but what it comes off as. You need to reread what you said without putting any inflection on the words and realize that other people may think you come off as an asshole. The "fuck right off" part was unnecessary, but really, people who come on here and get all "it's all about the music, man," or "If you don't have a $300 needle, don't even talk to me," annoy the shit out of me. 
 
Yes, I personally care more about how stuff sounds than what color a pressing is, but some people on here don't. Does that make anyone here better or worse than anyone else? No. But the way you're saying things comes off that way.

I remember when Taking Back Sunday first broke up and we already had tickets to see them in Vegas and were waiting outside the venue and these asshole kids selling ripoff homemade buttons were talking to me about the band like they fucking grew up with them, so I asked one if they knew why John Nolan quit the band and he flipped his shitty scene hair and said, "Yeah, but I can't talk about it, it's super personal."
I told him to go away from me, because I wanted to throw him.
Then my friend Snake took a piss next to their bass player in the bathroom and wouldn't shut up about it.

Absolutely, but...there is no topic to point him to, is there? I don't think he needed to post this here, which I thought I made clear by asking him if he really needed people to tell him what they thought about his collection and that it's lame to post like this. No one has really pointed him in any direction though, just shit on him.
