  1. Did you get it in yet? How does it sound? I can't wait to get this but I think I'm may have to order from Amazon.ca since shipping to Canada from dischord is a bit expensive plus our dollar is shit right now.
  2. So, how do they sound? I still don't own a copy of either of these albums and I can't decide if I should go with these pressings or the MOV ones.
  3. Congrats! I've got four things that make me happy above all else. 1. My fiance (we're getting married December 19th!) 2. My family 3. My drums 4. My vinyl
  4. Vinyl Digital tweeted the other day "Finally... a official press of Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly" Coming soon! with a link to a pre-order. https://twitter.com/VinylDigital_de/status/624609209997365248 Looks like an EU pressing. http://www.hhv.de/shop/de/artikel/kendrick-lamar-to-pimp-a-butterfly-435008 http://www.vinylism.de/kendrick-lamar-to-pimp-a-butterfly.html I haven't found a North American site to pre-order it yet. Either way I'm really excited for this. I finally bought Good Kid Maad City yesterday. *Edit* - Looks like a late September Release.
  5. Awesome! Glad you are digging it! My best friend showed me this at Christmas and I've listened to the mp3s a bunch since then. I haven't bought the vinyl yet but it's near the top of my list of things to buy.
  6. Amazon.ca just cancelled my order for Debut and Vespertine, this sucks.
  7. I got my copy of Homogenic in the mail from amazon.ca yesterday and there is a pretty big scratch on the A side, the entire first song pops every rotation and then a few songs in it skips. amazon can't replace it because they no longer carry it. Fuck!
  8. I dig the song but the production is a bit to clean in my opinion. I'm curious to check out the album though. Edit* I was referring to the first song. I like the second song more but still not crazy about the production. Might sound better on vinyl than a crappy stream though.
  9. I just got my shipping confirmation for Homogenic from amazon.ca I am really excited for this!
  10. Awesome! Grabbed a few albums I've wanted for a while, this eased the sting of the low canadian dollar.
  11. Same here dude. Did you hear about the Bridges worth burning repress? http://www.barsuk.com/shop/bark027
  12. The US 2xLP is one of the Worst Sounding LPs I own. I've been meaning to grab the 2xLP EU pressing as this is one of my favorite albums.
  13. I really hope they come out to Halifax for you. I saw them in Toronto 4 years ago and they were amazing. They have skipped Toronto every tour since sadly.
  14. There are preorders up for this on Amazon.co.uk now. This gives me hope that I'll see these in Canada soon enough. I definitely gotta grab the first four albums at least, but probably all of them.
  15. I wish I could have preordered this from the label but hipping from the US is too expensive right now with the Canadian Dollar where it is. I was able to preorder it from amazon.ca last night though (for $18 Canadian with free shipping since I ordered the new Bjork with it).
  16. I bought one of the first Hail Satan pedals you made and love it. But now that you have a Deluxe I really want it. I just can't justify a pedal purchase right now. Maybe I'll sell some records.
  17. I've listened to them all and have no complaints! (Except my suspended animation being a bit warped)
  18. Alright, I'm two songs into this 3/4 time album and it's kicking my ass this morning. Love it!
  19. Max Roach is someone that I haven't actually listened to all that much. I'm definitely going to dive into those albums today! I bought a coule of Gene Krupa albums this year and I've been spinning those lately. I'm definitely most attracted to good Jazz Drummers being a drummer myself. Also I'm super jealous of those mono OPs of the Coleman albums. The Shape of Jazz to Come is definitely in my top 5 jazz albums.
  20. Also if this album has been mentioned or is an obvious recommendation I apologize, I just heard it for the first time recently.
  21. Yeah, the heavy far out Coleman, Coltrane and Davis stuff is definitely up my ally. Don't get me wrong I love their early stuff too but to me there is something just so punk rock about their far out stuff. Like it's heavier and more aggressive then most punk and metal out there. I highly recommend Joe Mcphee's nation time though definitely not as far out as those other three it's got a lot more structure to it and less scattery. He's an incredible Sax player though.
  22. I just picked up the 4 Men with Beards Miles Davis - Dark Magus repress this week. This is regarded as "the furthest out miles ever got" which is why I got it. Columbia dumped it back in the 70's and only released it in Japan. It's a heavy fucking album but man is it good! Next up I need to get my hands on Joe McPhee's Nation TIme.
  23. I got mine today and listened to all of the LPs except the first one. Suspended Animation I had to do a bit of fine EQing to get it to sound a bit better and turn up the volume a bit but once I did it sounded awesome! Delirium sounds the best of the set. My copies of Suspended Animation and S/T are a bit warped sadly but doesn't affect the play too much.
  24. I would love to have Test for Echo on vinyl! If these sell well it will probably come out in 2016.
