So.  It's going to take me a while probably to put this all in words.  I can't even...   just, man.  It was just incredible.  You guys really have no idea.  This trip was priceless.

PG.Lost playing "Vultures" live is probably the greatest fucking thing in the post-rock world.  There's so many thoughts swimming around in my head, it's hard to start somewhere and get it all out.  The sound at Pustervik was perfect, probably the best post-rock sound I've ever heard.  Crisp, loud, powerful, and clear.  Brilliant.  When they got to the first "chorus" in "Vultures", I fucking lost it.  I was crying my eyes out.  You guys have no idea how powerful that experience was.  The song ended, and I literally had fucking tears streaming down my fucking face.  I was a mess.

Of note:  NEW PG.LOST album in September.  They played 2 new songs this run.  "New Terrain" and "Kan Du Sluta" which means Can You Stop.  They're going to probably come to the US in the fall for the new album.  They didn't repress "It's Not Me, It's You!" because they've lost the artwork.  I forgot to ask them what the band name means.  They're SUPER fucking nice guys, I talked to them at the merch table both nights I saw them.  They're going to keep "Yes I Am" in their repertoire but bumped it because of the new tunes.  They want to press the "Yes I Am" EP to vinyl someday, maybe as bonus tracks with some other album.

And oh my god, Cult of Luna.  Wow.  That was probably one of the most powerful live experiences I've ever had.  That sound is just fucking huge, and crushing.  The Gothenburg set was over 2 hours long, easily.  Check out the setlist:

    The Sweep
    Light Chaser
    Owlwood
Echoes (WITH THE ALBUM INTRO!!!!!!  BECAUSE I ASKED JOHANNES!!!!)
    I: The Weapon
    Waiting For You
    Marching To The Heartbeats
    Finland
    Back to Chapel Town
And With Her Came The Birds
    Thirtyfour
    Dim  (DIM!!!!  FUCKING DIM!!!!)
    Dark City, Dead Man

But I just got home, and I am so fucking jetlagged and sleep-deprived, I need to not do things.  But I had to come post.  I have a picture of my haul, too.  I'll figure out how to get that uploaded soon.

But seriously guys, if PG.Lost ever comes within 500 miles of you here, you have to go.  You have to.  I'll check back in more tomorrow.  You guys are beautiful.

    Hahaha... well played.

But my jumping was bothering nobody    I wasn't bumping into people, or breaking the silence suspense.  Plus, I wasn't the only one moving.  Just one of maybe 6 people, but still

That said, I'm VERY curious to see what the crowds will be like in Gothenburg and Copenhagen this weekend.  I'll probably have to find a corner all to myself to lose my shit during "Dim" and "Finland" and "Dark City, Dead Man".  All 3 of my favorite Cult of Luna songs, on the same album.  ahhhhhh it's really happening.   :::crazy:::

At least I'm not the guy at the Maybeshewill gig screaming "MORE REVERB" at the top of his lungs during EVERY quiet part of their songs.  I have never wanted to actually go punch someone and break their fucking face as much as I did that guy, I don't think.

It really amazes me the way people behave, sometimes.  Being a doofus on here for shits and giggles is one thing, but ruining epic, heavy emotional moments at a show is an entirely different league of egregiousness.

Anyway, albums that are just okay to me:

Explosions In The Sky - Those Who Tell The Truth....
This Will Destroy You - Another Language
Sunlight Ascending - Leaving My Waiting Room
The End of the Ocean - In Excelsis
Tides From Nebula - Eternal Movement

These albums all have some redeeming moments or qualities, but overall just do mostly nothing for me, and are paled in comparison to their other works.

The posts won't update on the main page.  It's retarded.  This is so dumb.  Tons of posts have been made in the post-rock thread but it never moves up or gets a bold headline.

It's getting a little better, there's at least a way to list all the threads you post in now.  But I hate the theme layout, this looks all derpy and unprofessional.  It looks like all this shitty old exco BB boards from like, 2005.  The old layout design was so much better.  I loved that place.

Why the fuck did you guys change this?

So, I've been posting in the Post-rock thread in the Everything Else board, but whenever I go back to that board, it doesn't move that topic to the top.  Nor does it show my username as the last post, even though when you go into the thread, it shows my posts.

When I make posts, the site does not update before me.  I have to go to it in a different tab or go somewhere else in this tab and then come back, and then it will show.

I followed that thread, but in My Activity Streams, it does not show up, but it does when I go into my Managed Content or whatever that nonsense is under my username.

Please, for fucks's sake, go back to the old layout.
