i fucking told you man, haha.  Silent Whale is fucking *incredible*.  Ravena is JUST as good.  The first 2 tracks are better than the back 2 in my opinion but those first 2 songs are just absolutely crushing.  Find some time, you'll thank me again haha

Yeah, I mean...  I thought it was going to be like the Meniscus buy where we had our own portal but I suppose that's more work than it's worth for him.  I'm not sure, maybe he feels differently about taking personal orders for items and it's just easier to do it as a regular pre-order on the site, because I know someone lagged with the Meniscus buy, so maybe he just doesn't want to deal with that again.

Yeah man, I'm with you.  I didn't realize TRNA was so popular around the world!  The material is great, but it's my least-favorite of the stuff they've released so far.  Which I guess speaks to the quality of their previous releases   I know I can't wait to hear "Calm" on vinyl though, that song is fucking awesome. 
 
I can only imagine what's going to happen when they drop the new Silent Whale album next year haha.  They better have like 3 extra servers, because I imagine the post-rock world is going to go absolutely crazy for that release!  XD 

That Glories album is still my fav post-rock album of the year.  Really really sucks about that loss.  I had my fingers crossed they'd appear at Dunk.  Listening to that album after hearing that news really brought the feels.  It's such a great album start to finish.

Good to hear!  I was curious if anybody had gotten them yet....  not a word from anybody since the email went out haha.  I took a couple days to get mine ordered, but they should be here maybe even tomorrow.

You misunderstand me; this is about the market itself and other people.  I've come to prefer black vinyl now, because I'd rather have the album sound great than look cool and have audio flaws.  Certainly early on I always preferred a cool-looking variant, but now, after experiencing the difference.... I'd much rather have a quiet 180g black than anything else.  It's certainly an interesting change in perspective.  Because on the one hand, you have the artwork aspect of a cool variant.  But on the other, you have the audio quality issue. 
 
My point was that had Metal Blade made a colored US variant, it likely would have sold out instantly.  Instead, they are sitting on a pile of records.
 
Please take your passive-aggressive hostility elsewhere, man.  There's no need for it. 

Yeah I just saw that.....  that looks like so much fun.  I still have my burned copy of "The Lone Deranger" by Hallucinogen that the dude who hipped me to Shpongle gave me in like, fucking 2001.  Oh.... how i wish I was back in high school.  The only thing missing from that list is OTT. 

Jesus christ, that went fast.  I was going to buy it this morning, but nope.  All gone.  Probably for the better, although I really would have liked to have heard this at least once on vinyl.  They could sell another 1000 if they did a regular 3xLP in regular jackets like This Will Destroy You's live album.  Some of us are in college and don't have $100 to drop at a moment's notice!
 
Glad it sold out though.  Wasn't sure it would, to be honest.  That's an awful lot of money. 

Yeah, this is fucking ridiculous pricing.  I was ready to spend $50ppd.... but fucking $100?  Fuck that.  I mean, I get that this will prevent flipping but holy fuck.... way to gouge your fans! 
 
 
EDIT:    I'm having a serious existential crisis about this price.  I want the album so bad.  Behind Closed Eyelids has benefited the most from the remaster I think.  Some of the other tracks sound far too spacious now, it's weird haha.  Also, the tracklisting is different.  Monster Hit doesn't follow Shpongle Falls. 
 
But fuck, this is so good.  But fuck, it's $105.  That's so irresponsible of me to spend right now.  But I think i'm probably going to say fuck it and do it.
