wow what a milestone day!  the used self titled was released 15 years ago to this day!  i might buy a couple extra copies just for kicks to celebrate this milestone and maybe you guys want to too?  well the merchnow first run of variants sold out and so did the fye variants.  retail may have a few copies left here and there but merchnow second run of variants is still up as is the smartpunk variants but these are very limited remaining... so enjoy what you could of what is left before its gone

this was acturally a lot of work so hopefully it is appreciated and enjoyed...

'last resort' is a great song.  it came out around when i was 12 and was one of the songs that guided me to being a fan of rock n roll.

It's going to be really weird when these are in my local bargain bin for $2k. 

the lacquer is the most common medium to cut the master.... the master is then plated into a metal stamper to make the records in a press... yes a lacquer would sound a bit better and definitely quieter (because its a waaaaay softer and a heavier medium then the record itself) but as in the description... with every play (sonically) it will degrade ... so really its only good for 1 play ..my question is WHY???
 

That's the typical Radiohead way (which is why the very brief TKOL was so confusing and why many believed there'd be a follow up). Like how when they were recording KID A they had enough material to release Amnesiac soon after.
 
The OKC b-sides as an album is more solid than Amnesiac IMO.

I enjoy the songs 'clint eastwood' and 'feel good inc' a lot. But I don't really know too many other songs by this band. I was looking at them on wiki and see how many albums they sold. It's crazy impressive how big this band became using fake cartoon characters.

Honestly, I can't think of an occasion where I'd need to see both sides of the LP, so it wasn't something I ever considered. Instead, I just make it a habit to have the A side facing outward and that's what's put behind the album cover in the outer sleeve.
 
I do think their Ultimate Audiophile has label windows on either side; it's just more than I care to spend. I also try to eliminate paper from being anywhere close to contacting my records since I've managed to find some form of dust or shaving on every single record I've purchased with a paper sleeve (even if it's lined in poly) for the past six months or so.

I just go with the Audiophile Inner sleeves (20 bucks for 50) at SleeveCityUSA. They're basically a knock-off of MoFi sleeves, but seem to be a bit more rigid. They also sell a Double Audiophile ($14 for 25) that's great for 2-LP albums. If those are too rich for your blood, they also sell 50-packs of the round-bottom sleeves for 10 bucks. Hold up well, don't fade, and definitely don't break the bank.
Best time to buy is when they're running their coupon codes. Sometimes they go up to 25% off and that's when I buy in bulk. Think I have enough now for the next couple years.
