  1. It's good. The digital release was a DR9 and the vinyl doesn't sound to me to be far behind (if at all).
  2. Via Nuclear Blast. Out 2/3 in the US. Buncha variants at the US store. Promo website with Euro info. Title track:
  3. Anyone caught Mogwai on their current tour? Trying to decide if I want to drop $30 on a Sunday night.
  4. Yeah I'd love that Oh Hiroshima on vinyl but looks like only buying option is Napalm Europe.
  5. With the AT, you're paying for features and engineering that don't actually add to the quality of the sound (pitch control, electronic speed change, built-in pre-amp, etc.) Jump up to the entry-level Regas/Pro-Jects/etc and those features are stripped out in favor of build & design improvements that actually lead to better sound.
  6. Oh boy. But seriously, why not just go to a shop and listen to some tables? Your ears will tell you why you should spring a level higher than the AT120LP.
  7. Hope Junius gets some better mastering. Their sound deserves it.
  8. Not familiar with Pledgemusic but is it safe to think they'll have copies on tour?
  9. You can order that individual issue for ~$10 ppd directly from Decibel.
  10. Announcement of new Panopticon album and a song. http://decibelmagazine.com/blog/2017/1/5/panopticon-unveil-sheep-in-wolves-clothing-via-decibel-flexi-series
  11. Now I have Heart's 'Heartless' stuck in my head.
  12. Restaurants that might be your jam in Boulder: Leaf (vegetarian) Thrive (vegan) The Kitchen (omnivorous; 3 different restaurant iterations all next to each other) You'll be coming in the middle of winter which means there could either be 2 feet of snow on the ground or sunny and pleasant. It's pretty challenging to actually make outdoors plan. That said, there's isn't much you can find in Boulder that Denver doesn't already have, minus proximity to outdoors (some good hiking right out of the downtown area). The "center" of town is Pearl Street, and this is where most of the bars and restaurants are (along with a pedestrian mall). Pretty easy to kill a couple of hours just walking down it if you're visiting. There's also some good tea houses and coffee shops. Let me know if you have any more specific questions...
  13. I need to spin Light Falls more, but I think Night of Your Ascension is a tighter overall album. Love the slow transition from the beautiful choral vocals to the sludgy, brutal doom.
  14. Honestly surprised if Tertia reaches DR6. Here's another reference graph I came across the other day:
  15. why not 1. Sigur Rós 2. Godspeed You! Black Emperor 3. Cobalt 4. Yob 5. Behemoth 6. High on Fire 7. Chelsea Wolfe 8. Melvins 9. Red Fang 10. Pallbearer
  16. Guhhhh, the Spotify version of this is really compressed and crunchy, even with the high-quality stream. Hoping this isn't indicative of the remastering quality.
  17. Autumn Eternal is still available. Just got one. http://panopticonmerch.bigcartel.com/product/autumn-eternal-lp
  18. Just got my Mylene 14.99 random black friday bundle and got: Yndi Halda (!!!!) Labirinto/This Quiet Army Split Pelican 7" Sankt Otten (?) DLP Salome Good haul.
  19. InterArma, Cobalt, Khemmis, Vektor... all very good.
  20. Sweet jesus they destroyed me. One of the top concert experiences of my life.
