This album depressed the hell out of me today because of how bad it is.

Listening to these lyrics one would think he could put a new album out each month.

I can't even make it halfway through that track. All these overdubbed vocals running unevenly is just a mess

yeah me too.  I like the his new stuff here and there.  some of benji and definitely a few other things..
however.  sometimes when i listen to him I think of this..
 
 

Seems to me the honest reality of it all is that those of us who have been fans since the 90's are not going to get it or understand why he would take such a radical style shift. And by now I should have come to terms with the fact that he's not going back either. A while back I was remembering when he first shifted to finger picking with Tiny Cities and that was the first big blow up us fans had about his change in style. If only I had known then he would end up falling so far in terms of form and function, I would have moved on..

I'm so pissed I wasted money ordering this cd....I so want to try to understand his new direction, but I just can't fucking do it! He can still make good melodies and great music, but this whole journal entry shit is tired and is just lazy and a sad excuse for effort. I want beautiful metaphors again, not daily ramblings about how your life is the same as mine except you go here, here, or there and know this or that famous person. And for fuck sakes, stop over using the vulgarity...he sounds like a tired 90's rapper.

Yeah, the MSRP for these was insanely low to begin with. Even if you figure $15 per 10" it puts you at $89.99 plus the box. These should have been $99.99 but I'm not complaining

I'm going to listen to that Mike McCready tonight. Never heard the 10" before honestly. Hope it's as good as everyone says (never watched the two films in question).

Yowza. With only a handful of friends stateside to hassle about this, one of them has managed to get a copy from a store in Seattle. 

Wonder how many Think Indie had shipped to Sound Stage Direct. They sold one yesterday for $149.99. Today 3 @ $169.99. Maybe more tomorrow?
 
It's great to know the record store you shop at is flipping vinyl on the side for 3x's the retail cost. :/ And they tell us to suport your local record store while they are doing this. Sometimes it is best to let the band / artist / company sell the product (1 per customer) directly through their official website first! Then whatever is left in stock, sell those copies to record stores.
