Song is OK and I feel that the production overall matches the band personality, it's pretty noisy. Vocals sound bad because of Nicky's bad singing, J Mascis gets it.

I don't think it's about the label misreading the demand for this album. I think it just might be smart business. I wouldn't fault Saddle Creek at all if they took a look at what Painted Shut was selling for on Discogs and said, "You know what, why shouldn't we be the ones making money off of our own releases". 

For those saying "it should be about the music", I agree. However, to act like some people didn't pull the trigger on this solely because of the value of Painted Shut is absurd. Bottom line, good for the label and the band. They should be the ones benefiting off the album, not the secondary market.

It's funny how you tell some to get down off your hourse while you're riding your unicorn. This hasn't happened recently, it's a public thread since last year and people do know about it actually, you can google it before crying about something you don't even know. I do love their music and it's cool they are no longer playing with him, but it's also true that they suddenly decided to post about this just one day before they are releasing new music and a big pre-order. Imo, in times that bands are willing to be honest and helpful with fans and community, personally that was kinda like "ok, let's do this quickly before time's over so we can sell our new stuff" and that's fucked up to me. It's that not your opinion now, that's totally fine, but I'm free to feel less excited after this whole situation and that's not your business.

I'm so excited to finally share a small piece of the album I poured myself into with my creative partner Craig Hendrix, who co-produced the album and played every instrument on the record with me, with the exception of the sax solo David Bartler ripped on this track & some trumpets Asher Brooks tooted later on. Jorge Elbrecht who mixed it into magic and Heba Kadry who mastered it to perfection.

I don't know if it is common knowledge but the reason why band is no longer on Captured Tracks is because they're releasing it themselves. Bayonet is owned and managed by Dustin Payseur.

Yeah, it showed like 5 times like that but finally I could complete my order.

Hell yeah, was about to make a thread until I saw this. Already pre-ordered, it was a no brainer for me, band has been keeping emo 90's vibe really alive. Stoked to see them in this new direction they are taking.
