Strange, for me he's one of the very few who technically could do everything he wants to but rather plays very emotionally and doesn't exaggerate the technical jerking...
 
I mean the solo of "Drive Home" (starting at 5:08) is so perfect...my favorite solos of the last 5 years I'd say!

This single is pretty horrible

Seriously though, it's way better than the single that came out before this one.  And to me is on par with anything from 13th Step (which is my fave from APC).

if you recall, most all new DD subscribers had to sign at least 3-month agreements. there was no way the third album was going to be a banger/in demand release.  theres also no way there are 30K morby fans out there, much less those subscribed to VMP. so, they press 10-15K of these (which wont cost nearly as much to license), wait for people to make swaps, press more if needed...essentially, this month is worth probably 500-800K in dollars, and it will allow them to clear out some of the old ROTM (since plenty of people will swap), in addition, its highly unlikely they will have to hold onto 15-20K of the current ROTM.
 
the real test will be can they sustain the subscriber uptick, and I think this is why the next ROTM will be on the level of DD, but they were always going to have a "meh" release this cycle in order to maximize the profit from DD.  anyone else think the current business model is one that helps facilitate a sale?  i think thats the logical next step (assuming it hasnt already happened)

This is confusingly written on their website. The two sentences above have nothing to do with each other i.e. the Monorail exclusive is just vinyl and postcards and none of the other box set stuff. For a minute I thought that they were selling the box set at a bargin price. Website also says limited to 250 rather than 300.
 
Also, the website says signed postcard, but the email Monorail sent out says postacrd in one place and photo in another. Probably postcard.

Finally got a chance to spin the deluxe.  Sonics are great. Very clear and crisp, with just enough kick down low.
The vinyl is quiet, flat, and centered.
