DISTRO SPOTLIGHT!
Tidal Waves Music proudly presents: FUNKADELIC Live – Meadowbrook, Rochester, Michigan – 12th September 1971
Contained here is a unique snapshot of Funkadelic’s live performance at the height of their powers. Recorded live at Meadowbrook, Rochester, Michigan on the 12th of September 1971, this is the only official in-concert recording from their early career.
The crystal clear recordings here (taken from the soundboard master tapes) provide you with an overdose of free-floating psychedelic black rock and spaced-out jams that can only be described as ‘Jimi Hendrix, James Brown & Sun Ra making a love-child live on stage’. This release also includes extensive & exhaustive liner notes from the Grammy-award winning professor of ethnomusicology ‘Rob Bowman’ who goes over each track in detail and also wrote down quotes from Bernie Worrell & Billy Bass.
Featuring an all-star line up that includes George Clinton, Fuzzy Haskins, Calvin Simon, Grady Thomas, Ray Davis, Tyrone Lampkin, Eddie Hazel, Billy Bass Nelson, Bernie Worrell & former Isaac Hayes sideman Harold Beane.
Limited to 1000 copies. Click below for more details.

apirk got a reaction from thievedrelic in The Mark Kozelek/Sun Kil Moon/Red House Painters thread
That's cool of them to do that since they cancelled my order for AFP a few weeks ago

apirk got a reaction from The Saint in PO: Bon Iver - S/T & Emma, Forever Ago Repress
Well if the color doesn't improve the sound quality maybe the limitedness will

apirk got a reaction from kjkenney in The Vinyl Deals Thread (non-Amazon)
I am guessing people want it more because it is a great deal, then they actually want it, you know you gotta build up a collection

Huge Melvins fan but had to pass on that price. Kind of makes Amrep prices seem like a bargain

apirk got a reaction from Braveheart in PO: Dawes - We're All Gonna Die
Bullmoose has a yellow marble indie exclusive out of 1500. They probably have 250 to sell but it is out of 1500

apirk got a reaction from stl_ben in Melvins - Houdini LP | Stoner Witch LP | Stag 2xLP
Well it was clearly stated that you were ordering black. I don't think they new what was going to do with them or If they did Haze didn't have the artwork done. Outside of pressing the colored variant they have had nothing to do with it.
STL ben no worries, I usually don't mind helping out people but I am not dropping the kind of cash it would take to help people with these and I am already going to be embarrassed by how much I give Walsby for the stuff I want.

Cmon both fan bases are pretty similar when it comes to how fanatic they can be. Is it really that sane to pay $30 for a 7". Screen print a cover slap a limited number on it and Melvins fans lose their shit and will spend big bucks on it, I am pretty guilty of it as well.

I am having the hardest time trying to explain to this melvins facebook group how third man does their variants.

apirk reacted to Eliminator Jr. in Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
Are you serious? Nobody got 'fucked', the records are not defective just because they're black instead of white.

apirk got a reaction from freedumb in Melvins - Houdini LP | Stoner Witch LP | Stag 2xLP
They used to randomly do it but not sure if they have recently
-
apirk got a reaction from Stress On The Sky in Melvins - Houdini LP | Stoner Witch LP | Stag 2xLP
They are going be easily available for a long time and Third Man pretty much keeps everything in print

Well you can sign up and cancel right away, it would be just like buying the record but then needing to cancel before the billing cycle. They make it pretty easy if you just want one release
