  1. Hoping I will like it, expecting I wont. Got one of those silly $100 bundles so I am forcing my optimism
  2. This album was a meme when I was in school lol. Can't believe he is still around.
  3. If there was ever a good move I made for my wallet, it was deciding to not even start buying OST's. Thought I can't lie, this will be mighty tempting.
  4. Hmm man. To weigh in on this..... as a looooong time fan I would say: Best Cover: Happiness (its so fkn great) Runner Up: DTBM 2 (love the evolution between DTBM1 cover, and shows Mattais the artists progression during the years between) Worst Cover: Whatever I say Is Royal Ocean (sorry John! I also really dislike Artificial selections cover for some reason, close second.) Favorite Album: Self Titled (deathstar), Kurt's song writing and performance is second to none, these songs really resonate with me. Runner Up: Mothership (but DTBM is a very very close third, might even swap em if you asked me on a different day) Least Favorite Album: Artificial Selection?? (They really dont have a bad album, but A.S. has some weak tracks & production on Acceptance was meh IMO)
  5. Damn I don't know how I missed this one. Glad I could snag the white at least. Pretty dope EP in my opinion,
  6. Damn, clearly a hot button issue. Thanks for all the input. I won't disclose how much I paid. But the record was the first pressing of Periphery's self titled record. Only three variants were made of 50 copies each. Also the reason I ask about how it would be currently graded is I like to keep my discoggs catalouge up to date and as descriptive as possible. And who knows, far down the road I could resell. I did request photos, and got images of the sleeve which the seller conservatively graded as VG. (More VG+). So I assumed he had conservatively graded the media as well, and didn't request additional photos. I had hoped for NM-, clealry a mistake. Next time I will ask for a full set! Last but not least, I am still stoked to own the record, and I agree it's a minor issue. But it's analogous to buying a 'like new' car from the lot and finding out it already has a ding on 3 of 4 doors. Just annoying. And if I had known I would have negotiated for a slightly lower price. Thanks Fam. Stay lit
  7. Hey guys/gals, I recently made a big purchase on a super hard to find record. Seller listed it as 'mint' condition for the vinyl itself because he had never spun it, claiming to have removed the shrink only to check the color (allegedly). So this thing shows up in the mail, and 3/4 sides of the album have visible scratches on them from dirt in the innersleeve getting rubbed around near the edge. Needless to say I am bummed. Do you think it was fair to list this as mint? Or should he have visually inspected the media considering it was open anyways? It's the most I have ever spent on a record so I'm a bit peeved. Lastly, what would y'all grade the record now knowing it has scratches, VG+? VG? I listened closely and wasn't able to notice any effect on playback, still sounds excellent. Thanks!
  8. Just a meaningless bump here. Original variant is gone, may have sold out? New variant up for PO, also looks pretty nice. Red with white and black splatter. Get 5$ off with code 'shredwhiteandblue' http://merchnow.com/products/v2/275109/new-levels-new-devils-lpdd-bundle Also also, there is a VIP variant on solid gold. Yawn.
  9. Yeah long time fan, and I didn't mind the mellowing out on Sempiternal. Thought it was an awesome new progression. Since then its taken a turn for the worse. Don't mind some pop elements, but the newest stuff has just not grabbing me
  10. I feel like I want a phonetic "happpen uhhh-geeenn" Also, thats a nice phat number. Hopefully I will be able to snag that 7" on Wednesday after all.
  11. That is a pretty neat gimmick. I would never have thought these guys would become the merchandising monsters they are today when I first heard em in the DTBM era. I bet these will sell just fine like their previous box sets have.
  12. TLKW is the only album I have ever really listened to by these guys. But I did catch them live recently and they put on a good show. What else from their catalog is worth listening to, highlights?
  13. You are right about the label, and the black wax. Those are a dime a dozen on ebay. However those colored LP's are hard to find now. I got a grey for a reasonable-ish price. But i'm still trying to find it on pink for under $100.... wish me luck!
  14. Same here. I mean they have definitely made the shift to "dad rock", but I think this track is pretty good. Still none of this hits for me the same way their first 3 albums did. Those early albums are classics.
  15. Just a FYI. https://www.newburycomics.com/collections/exclusive-vinyl/products/queens_of_the_stone_age-like_clockwork_exclusive_2_lp?variant=12154781171817 The N.C. Exclusive press of "...Like Cloclwork" is back up. I snagged one, though apparently the pressing has a lot of warped copies in circulation.
  16. For whatever reason this one isn't really clicking with me. And I am a big fan of instrumental groups. Maybe ill shelf it and come back around in a few months. Sounds like everyone else is head over heels for it
  17. I havent clicked the link yet. I just want to say, I hope this is a 12" picture disc with the image of a CD on it.
  18. Going to mini-hijack this thread rather than make a new one in the WTB section. Is anyone in here willing to part with a copy of Love Potion on purple wax? https://www.discogs.com/Love-Potion-XXX/release/10164111 If so please DM me, and we can work out a price.
  19. I snagged one right when they went up. Surprised to see them not moving very quickly. All in all I enjoyed the two new tracks, not as into it as their old stuff atm, but excited to hear the full album.
  20. Oh yeah meant to post this, put in my PO a week ago. Bullmoose lists both as a "Starburst" variant. Which I really hope is true. I have a starburst for Old Record and Homesick already and they look fantastic. Would love to eventually see all the ADTR albums on a color-coded burst. Oh also, there is a x/140 Red/Orange marble at Victorys Merch store that looks quite nice indeed. Also listed about a week ago. http://www.victorymerch.com/merch/vinyl/15511/a-day-to-remember-what-separates-me-from-you-vinyl
