something about Claudio cursing never sits right with me. just sounds strange, and always reminds me of their worst song ever "You Got Spirit Kid". dont look it up. was surprised to like The Color Before The Sun as much as I did on the whole and was still very concerned about the poppy direction they seemed to be heading in. this is a bit darker and refreshing other than Claudio's silly sounding obscenities, though

As the title suggests, these tracks are more restrained in approach than the work which preceded them. if runtimes alone are anything to go by.... this album is poised to be an instant classic. but for real, this single is exciting. after rolo tomassi, khruangbin, and hop along have released the only elite-level albums this year (in my book, which no one cares about) I'll be honest, pretty excited for this album.
