scottheisel reacted to Tommy in Glassjaw Coloring Book vinyl limited to 120 unique color combos 8/16
If there's a band that's the sonic equivalent of an adrenaline rush, it's Glassjaw. Hailing from Long Island, New York, these guys are the epitome of post-hardcore and alternative rock fusion. Formed in the '90s, Glassjaw have consistently delivered music that punches you in the gut and tugs at your heartstrings.
Glassjaw's music is a rollercoaster ride through raw emotion, with explosive guitar riffs, impassioned vocals, and lyrics that cut straight to the core of human experience. They've cultivated a dedicated following over the years, thanks to their intense live performances and the uncanny ability to capture the turmoil of life in their songs.
In their discography, you'll find gems like "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence" and "Worship and Tribute." These albums are sonic battlegrounds where introspection and chaos collide. Whether you're diving into the dissonant depths of "Siberian Kiss" or riding the cathartic wave of "Ape Dos Mil," Glassjaw's music leaves an indelible mark on your soul.
With their emotionally charged lyrics and dynamic soundscapes, Glassjaw tackles themes like love, loss, and the human condition. Each track feels like a raw confession, making you feel like you are sharing a deep, personal moment with the band.
Over the years, Glassjaw's lineup has shifted, but their commitment to crafting authentic, visceral music remains unwavering. Daryl Palumbo's distinctive vocals and Justin Beck's frenetic guitar work are the backbone of their sound. It's sound-crushing and cathartic, keeping fans hooked for decades.
Beyond the music, Glassjaw's artistic vision extends to their album artwork and merchandise. Their vinyl records aren't just auditory treasures but also visual ones. Each album cover is a piece of art in its own right, adding a tactile dimension to your music collection.
As you explore Glassjaw's vinyl records, you're not just adding music to your collection but inviting a piece of their passionate, visceral world into your life. Whether you're spinning their records at full volume in your living room or delicately examining the album art, Glassjaw's music is an experience that's meant to be felt as much as heard.
So, dive into the world of Glassjaw on vinyl and let their sonic intensity wash over you. It's more than music; it's a journey through the highs and lows of life, wrapped in the warm crackle of a vinyl record.

Well, we just had our baby over the weekend, so my show-going is likely done for the year. But this is who I've seen since my last check-in back in June:
Bryan Adams/Joan Jett Weezer/Modest Mouse/Momma LCD Soundsystem/Idles NOFX/Descendents/Suicide Machines/Bouncing Souls (Punk In Drublic Fest) Julia Jacklin/Black Belt Eagle Scout Braid/Signals Midwest American Football Max Stern Ben Nichols/Tim Barry Fake Names The Gaslight Anthem Head Automatica Ratboys Chris Farren Rozwell Kid/This Moment In Black History + a bunch more bands (WCSB Halloween Ball) Into It. Over It. Lucero Best sets out of that batch were Weezer, Braid, Max Stern and Descendents, but honestly, none of the shows were bad (with the exception of Gaslight, there was just a realllllly weird vibe during their set both onstage and in the crowd).

The weird thing is, I reached out to them a few years ago about writing some of their zines, and they were super gung ho until I asked how much they pay — then the email chain went suddenly silent...

Fuck, it's like a top 5 all time album for me for so many reasons. I'd even buy a deluxe 3x10" of it

Oh hell yeah! This is my favorite Chuck release. These stripped-down versions are essential.

Ditto! I was expecting Alice In Chains, instead I got more metalcore.

scottheisel got a reaction from Snaro in Vagrant 25 Years Vinyl Represses
I picked up the red/yellow split of Guilt Show from Newbury's sale the other week, and this thing sounds fuckin' terrible. I can't remember if the OG press sounded this brickwalled/clipped, as I sold it many years ago, but this one will likely never hit the turntable again.

Because they're hoping you forget to unsubscribe, just like a gym membership.
source: I have a stack of Jack White live records I will never listen to and no one wants to buy on Discogs
