Got Laura Nyro, Rick Astley, Bardo Pond and then grabbed an Art Pepper at closing for the sweet deep employee discount. Also got the Tennis System in the mail from the GF Record Club. It was crazy working this year, the Taylor was a fiasco so we did a raffle and are giving our 14 copies away for free. Only felt sorry for one poor girl who stood in line for hours and was told the wrong info and to just get there early, so I may have folded her entry in a certain way to ensure it was pulled.

I had the last one in the store in my hands but ended up giving it to this girl who was inconsolably in tears when the shop owner told her they were all gone. I overheard the conversation & just broke my heart. The girl is the same age as my niece & reminded me immensely of her. It was obvious she’s more hardcore Swiftie than I & not a flipper. She started crying even more when I gave her the 7”. 
 
I believe in karma. So there’s my good deed for the year. 😉

What's interesting is the image file name of the green copy in the store says "D2C" and green. This could mean the orange ends up being a retail/indie exclusive, and it's about time.

Had never heard of these guys but a friend recommended them because I love the Menzingers. Absolutely love the three songs I've seen videos for, so found an indie exclusive online today.

That said, nothing has caught my ear from this one so far. Glad I didn't preorder.

Publically, it really seemed to be Nate wanting to do a solo album, riding off the success of his songs with Pink and Eminem.
 
Behind the scenes, I think there's a lot of issues between Nate and Jack. Nate dated Rachel (Jack's sister) for a long time, and when they broke up it was not that far off from when fun. broke up. Plus if you look Jack and Andrew always support each other with their different things, but Nate has completely dropped off from anything with them.

They're both great songs and it supports a great band. I'd snag one before it's too late.

Thinking $30-$35 each if some store picks these up as exclusives. My guess? Barnes and Noble. uDiscoverMusic/Sound of Vinyl won't because those albums were under Columbia/Sony and I think they're exclusively Universal. It doesn't feel like a Walmart or Target exclusive either, so it really leaves Barnes as another retailer with exclusives in the states. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a box set in some form either, so please give us Battle Studies too.

A Greek store called Reload has these too, so doesn't appear to be exclusive to any particular store just yet.
