This is Suzi. We refer to her as "airplane head". Sometimes "pizza head".

This is Lola aka Lolerz aka "floaty head", because of her ears' ability to literally just float, even indoors. She has magical velvety ears.

Lola is also a bit of a whore.

They like to take over our bed. Lola likes to lay her entire body on my pillow. Suzi likes brining her bones in our bed.

Suzi is one of the best snugglers ever.

Suzi also has the same colors as my Defeater tri-color which is awesome.

Lola has big beady eyes & likes to stare at me like a creeper.

I love these two so much. They are beyond entertaining in their own unique ways. Everyday they make me smile just by being their normal, quirky selves. I recommend anyone with 1 dog to get another. Having 2 is the best.

Haven't taken the time to read all 18 pages here to get an idea of what everyone's take is on the album so here are my unbiased thoughts...
I feel like MO is proof why it's bad for bands to rest on their laurels and not to evolve their sound. I know I'm guilty of turning a nose when a band releases a new album & it sounds way different than previous material, but after listening to Cope I have a new found respect for bands that change it up. Aside from a few of the heavier moments on this album, it all just sounds so vanilla & was very bored listening to most of it.
At this point I feel like I could take most of MO's catalogue, mix it together, & wouldn't be able to tell you what song is from what album. I've heard no evolution in 90% of what I've heard from these guys since METN which was when I got into these guys.
I know no one gives a shit, but I just wanted to put my thoughts out there on this album & MO in general. I'm just so bored by these guys anymore. I feel like they haven't lived up to their potential. Each album feels like a couple great songs but then the other 8-10 are just fillers

We have some folks at my work that destroy the inner-bowls & just make zero attempt at getting rid if it. Makes me wonder wtf these people eat & why you want others to see that. And I hate the streaker that leaves ass-residue on the back of the seat. How hard is it to look at the seat when you're done & realize you probably shouldn't leave that behind?
I had one stick out of the water this morning, leave residue inside the bowl, & you know what I did? Took a giant wad of tp & took care of it. Fucking manners, people.

I don't doubt that Rihanna record sounds bad. I notice the same issue when her songs are on the radio, music videos, youtube, mp3s, commercials, tv performances, you name it.

I like RSD. I love being on the hunt for things. Plus the lines in NE Ohio are never bad at all so that hasn't been a problem. Plus, you know, I like new vinyl to bring home.
My wife & I turn RSD into a holiday together. Get up early, get breakfast, go get in line, get some shit, go elsewhere, get lunch, come home & listen to our new stuff, nap, then get dinner. Boom.

Never go by the Amazon 3rd party prices. I've never seen anything there for even a half decent price.

Did a search & couldn't find anything about this website. Anyone else ever order from here? There's a lot of stuff there that seems pretty expensive (but I'm not familiar with the market on most of that stuff) but I found The Appleseed Cast's "Low Level Owl I & II" on gold for 39.99 plus about $4 shipping so I pulled the trigger. Was shipped the next day with tracking. Very pleased with my purchase!

For sure get this. It's got a sweet looking etched D-side too. Plus some bonus tracks.
After digesting this album, for sure check out In Bocca Al Lupo. That's my favorites of theirs. And then listen to the song my user name is from. "King of the Gutters, Prince of the Dogs" from Good Morning Magpie.
Ok I'm done derailing the thread.

You WILL like these bands. Post-rock with vocals. The former being a little heavier. The latter more "orchestral" sounding.

Even though it's not instrumental, Gifts From Enola gets lumped into this style of music, & I just want to take this time to profess my love for the beautiful & epic "Clawmarks". As the record I'm now spinning comes to an end, this song never ceases to absorb me. One of my all time favorite closers. It's like a violent F5 tornado in the middle of a wide open field that you just stand and watch because you're paralyzed by it's power & beauty.

I keep revisiting Khaldera. The 2nd half of "Unbearable" is so freaking good. Same with "Quasar". This band is a strong finisher.

Shoulda made a rule only one album per band. I'd prob leave Kid A & take off The Bends & OK Computer (if that were to win).

Ugh, now I want one haha. Very nice.

I have listened to Daturah. Another one I need to revisit.
I checked out Athletics & I dug both their albums. Reminds me of Moving Mountains. I feel like they'll get better with each listen, too.
Definitely will get on those Topshelf bands!

Oh man I can't wait until we can talk about the actual music instead of every post being about 12" or 10".
I keep checking the thread for something new but it seems like the last 5 pages are all the exact same.
