  1. I didn't join. I already filled out my brackets, so I'll just keep track on my own. So far today, 10 for 12. Everyone got screwed by Louisville. I thought Vandy would be Richmond, but they turned out today.
  2. Did you happen to know Dave Bumsted? He's my girlfriend's brother, graduated in 2001 so he's a couple years younger than you. It's a longshot but who knows. Does he have Facebook? I don't know the name off-hand. When I graduated, he would have been a sophomore, and I knew some of the younger folk, so perhaps. The name isn't ringing a bell. :: Also, I don't know if having an influx of older adults to the area is really contributing to the alcohol-consumption rate. By that logic, the Villages would be number one on the list, by and large due to the massive presence of retirees in a concentrated area. It seems that South Brevard County just has a lot of kids who are fine being lushes.
  3. Jeez, that's funny dude. Melbourne represent! I'm 30, yeah old. I graduated in 1999.
  4. Damn, I just came to see if you guys were still doing a pool. I filled my brackets out today. Florida takes it all.
  5. I'm from Florida originally. When I went to my first show in 1997, I thought a punk/ska show pit was bad. I had no idea what I would encounter later on at hardcore shows. catalinacaper, I was born and raised in Melbourne. Went to Eau Gallie High.
  6. Hey, quick question Dreamover: What's the hand-made variant limited to of "send us a signal"? You said /12 but dude above said /18 Random Splatter/Split Variants? What's the #?
  7. eBay is an cruel necessity. They charge an absurd percentage for the services they render. Yet, allowing sellers to have a national and potentially global marketplace with very little work is a service that most of us wouldn't really know how to execute on our own, thus they have a niche service and a desirable product. If you have something valuable, selling on eBay affords you an audience most of would not get on our own sites and even the message boards. Therefore, for that simple fact, eBay can be useful if you're making enough money to cover what you lose on eBay and Paypal fees. I've sold a shit-ton that I probably wouldn't have sold any other way, so to that end, I am grateful that it exists. I do agree with whoever purported that some sort of competitive site would probably make eBay wise-up with the way they're constantly raising fees.
  8. Haha. I guess a "that's what she said" would be appropriate here.
  9. One of Alice Cooper first band's was called The Spiders. He sings and play harmonica in the band. They play an American version of the early garage band sound that the Yardbirds and Kinks perfected. Those early Cooper songs are really cool and show the talent he has at an early age.
  10. Did you end up banging a postal employee to get a discount?
  11. Cut the bubble mailer or fold it under. Make the package fit with as little movable space as possible. Besides the postal service just throwing it or putting something heavy on top and crushing it. Space for the records to move about is where the most damage will come from. Put the records between cardboard. Put a bag around it (like plastic grocery bag). Put a rubber band around that. Then put it in the bubble mailer. Cut the unused portion. Keep it tight. Should arrive fine. Just put fragile. Also, add $50 insurance. I don't know what Canadian Post is like but $50 insurance is pretty cheap. Also, as someone inquired early, if these are expensive records, I wouldn't even risk it.
  12. That's the only record of there's I enjoy.
  13. Tradelist in signature. Would like to sell some things.
  14. Check out the other items that are being auctioned by Hoppus. All of it is going for crazy amounts just because he owned it.
  15. I about peed myself when he said he had test pressings.
  16. Christmas is the best time to get stuff cheap on eBay. You're right, everyone is doing something else. I've had the same experience. A lot of high price records go for a lot less.
  17. I did too, haha. Now I kind of wish this was just The Beatles.
  18. Good buy on that FSF clear. Goes over $100 every time now.
