I was just waiting for him to message me. I figured he'd see the thread or something. I guess I'll shoot him a message and if he doesn't reply, I'll move onto the next person on the list.

Just get me a decently priced version of Bleed American Self-titled (or whatever the hell they're gonna call it) and I'll be very content.

True, and as adverse as people are on here to reselling something, they wont have an issue selling the vault version if they are unhappy with how the hologram looks on the limited edition version.

sergeantscruffy reacted to serum7 in The Third Man Records Thread
The idea is bigger than the vault, and they aren't going to make "normal" plates just for the handful of subscriptions they'll sell. And by handful I mean in comparison to the 40K (give or take) of the standard black editions they'll sell.
If the ability to see the hologram is that big of a deal then it's easy to grab the standard release as well. I'm willing to bet plenty of people will be doing that. Not only for the extra features, but because the artwork is different as well.

If you and someone agree to a date, and you show up to the movie theater to meet them, but they don't show up and you try to call them a few times and they don't answer because they want to see the movie some other time, but don't tell you, so you go and see the movie yourself, then that someone blasts you on twitter for seeing that movie before them instead of calling you back....

Again. Slap me for being painfully new to this but is that such a big deal? I mean my buddha split variant had a seam split on the inside sleeve but I wouldn't consider it the end of the world. It still plays nicely and the artwork from the front looks fine. I can understand if the jacket itself gets torn. That would cause storage issues along with compromising quality.

Yup, and the only one where he isn't crooning. The vocal approach on this one doesn't take advantage of the best qualities of his voice.

Crazy they can do all this and still keep the price at $20. It's almost like other labels are just ripping us off...

so they basically covered their own songs with a cover license since they don't own the original masters.

**************************************************************
Jurassic Park is the twelfth project on which renowned composer John Williams worked with Steven Spielberg. He composed, conducted and produced the score for the film. Most of the cues were orchestrated by John Neufeld, with two of those being partially orchestrated by Conrad Pope and with three others entirely orchestrated by Alexander Courage.
MCA Records released a soundtrack album for the film on May 20, 1993. Also produced by Williams, this album includes most of the film's major cues, sometimes edited together into longer tracks and often containing material that was not used in the film. Several passages are also repeated in different tracks.
Mondo will be releasing their own pressing of this album June 11th, 2014. More info at:

I fucking hate how this record label ships records right when you order them instead of making you wait 4-6 weeks. What the fuck is the point if I don't get to anticipate the record coming for a month? You guys have existed for like 2 months and are already making other labels look bad. Fuck Bad Timing Records. Worst label.

sergeantscruffy reacted to flood in PO: Sum 41- Chuck
in defense of SRC on the retail of licensed albums
in my experience so far anything Universal owned, is insanely expensive to license and release.
as far as greed goes... they're making less a copy on this than any a normal label releasing a similar config and charging $15 a pop on a non licensed title.. so take that for what it's worth, these projects aren't cheap to do, in most cases the art files don't exist.. and if they do.. they usually need a ton of tweaking.. you need to pay to get it re-mastered, and lacquers made, order all of the packaging, the HUGE licensing fee, all the mechanicals up front, and a hefty shipping bill. It sucks that these projects run so pricey but they really are a ton of work.... a ton of people have approached me on how to do this.. and when I gave them a run down of the costs ... they said fuck it.
