  1. I use the Discogs collection 'worth' tool and I'll sort it by value high-to-low. Sometimes I'm shocked at what some of my stuff is selling for. Then if the price of the record is high and it's value to me is pretty low I'll sell it. I have quite a few records that I don't really care about but I'm too lazy to try to sell them on ebay for a buck or two. If something is going for a pretty penny and I justify selling it because then I can afford new music. So yeah, I check once a month or so. Also thanks for letting me know that Ryan Adam's Rock n' Roll is worth something.
  2. Odd. For as many people listing metal in this thread, I see very little posted to this board unless it's bitching about Mastodon or Red Fang's ludicrous prices.
  3. Black metal, sludge, stoner, doom, thrash, death, blackgaze, post-rock, and some indie rock.
  4. Never heard Atlas Moth until now. Now I'm extra stoked for the Boris, Atlas Moth, Subrosa tour.
  5. What is a Deafheaven "fan"? I don't see what this album has to do with Deafheaven anyway.
  6. I wish someone would do the How To Train Your Dragon OSTs, or at least the Jonsi songs from both of them on a 7". I'd also pay for Sigur Ros' song from Game of Thrones on any and every size vinyl available.
  7. Not so much trolling as just making an unfunny joke. I don't consider Kiss metal. Easily one of the worst bands ever. I hope one of these sets lasts until I can get a good month in at work.
  8. Thanks for the heads up, but at this point I don't even care anymore.
  9. For such an impressive pedigree this band is awful. At least they're not selling it at as Mastodon prices.
  10. I remember reading a good review of Godspeed You Black Emperor - F#A#∞. I couldn't remember what the review said it sounded like but I had some money to burn so I bought it. It's the /500 numbered version. It's since become one of my top 5 all time albums and one of my prized possessions.
  11. The only things that I miss from what I've sold are Mars Volta - Deloused and Frances. I miss them but as I sold them to fund a vacation to Iceland I don't regret it. I'd do it again in a second.
  12. I'm not real impressed with this on the first listen. It seems like there is a lot of filler and the meat is still a little lackluster. I had high expectations but dammit, it's Agalloch, I should have high expectations.
  13. Anyone with experience or knowledge of such things have a rough idea on what it would cost to manufacture these?
  14. This. I wasn't that into Crack the Skye but I bought it because the price was decent enough for a decent album. I didn't buy the Hunter, even though I liked it, because it was a bit much. No way would I consider giving this a chance for $30 let alone $70.
  15. When I see shit like this I feel like I'm being punished for being a fan. I get excited when I see the pre-order is up. Then when I see the price I feel betrayed. I can't support the band because I can't afford to like a normal person. I'm happy that I'm not a die hard Mastodon fan but I've had other artists pull similar shit and I had no choice *cough Sigur Rós * cough.
  16. Tasty Tacos is good but I'm going to go for a tier without the grub.
  17. What is your favorite restaurant in Des Moines? Which colors will you be selling at shows? Can I buy the comic at a show?
  18. I love that you are releasing stuff so cheaply. I remember getting your 7" for $3 or $4 ppd. Great music, I wish more post rock bands would take the heavier approach. Keep up the good work.
  19. Oh, so now that it sold for $60 they are going to list these as buy it now at a similar price. I'll hold out on this and take my chances.
