  1. Anyone know of places online that have the Wu-Tang Clan record? It is the only thing I couldn't get.
  2. Spent RSD up in MI visiting my dad in the hospital. I hit up a store in Ann Arbor the next day on my way back home and found most of what I wanted. Between that and what a friend got for me the only record I still want that I couldn't get was the Wu-Tang Clan record.
  3. I used 1/4" plywood, cut it to size, painted it white (to match the white expedits), and screwed them into the back. It was really easy and on top of now having backs it makes them a little sturdier as well.
  4. I just ordered Homogenic from Bull Moose. I'd like to get a copy of Debut at some point.
  5. That shirt is fucking stupid but then again so is re-purposing someone else's artwork instead of coming up with your own.
  6. Ordered a clear w/pink smoke because I thought it looked the best of the options available. I saw These Arms Are Snakes three or four times, they were great every time. I saw Harkonen once and I think they are a criminally underrated band. I urge everyone to check out their album, Shake Harder Boy, as it is one of the best things Hydrahead ever released.
  7. I'm not sure how many on this board will even know this stuff but I know a few of you will. I used to trade records with Pushead a long time ago and he was extremely generous in our various trades. He also was quick to part with certain rarities to me because he knew I was going to keep them and not just throw them up on eBay. Here's a couple gems: Septic Death - Nightmare Takes a Nap box set of test pressings. This alone is super rare as only 30 were made but this one isn't like the others, note the number - number 00/30MV. This set was custom made for me and even has my initials as part of the number. It also has extras that the other versions don't have. It is a true one of a kind. I damn near shit myself when he sent me this in the mail as I had no idea it was coming. And related to the above is this pair: These are called Butcher Boxes. There was 5 made of each box. One contains various test pressings for Bacteria Sour singles (I forget which ones off the top of my head) and the other one has test pressings for all the Bacteria Sour compilations (including a rejected version of #3). I have matching boxes, both #3/5. He intentionally sent me matching ones. These are some of my most prized items in my collection.
  8. It's a pretty mixed bag of sellers and what they have so it is always a lot of digging but there is usually something for just about everyone there.
  9. Smokey clear is on the far left, third up from the bottom.
  10. All of the variations of the first Suicidal Tendencies LP as of today. I'm sure they'll be sending me a couple new ones over the course of this year.
  11. A couple more I forgot The Decline of Western Civilization soundtrack. This has amazing live performances by every band on here and the drumming for the Circle Jerks "Red Tape" is amazing. That Lucky sure was a damn good drummer. Urgh A Music War. This was not only a great film but the soundtrack rules. Especially great was the Cramps "Tear it Up" but every performance on this was stellar and it features a nice variety of bands.
  12. Oh yes that is a good one that I totally forgot about!
  13. I'll be there selling some stuff at my friend's table. It goes without saying I'll be shopping as well. I have been going to these shows for over 20 years.
  14. Butthole Surfers - PCPPEP Skinny Puppy - Ain't It Dead Yet (though it only came out on CD) Husker Du - Land Speed Record AC/DC - If you Want Blood You've Got It Cheap Trick - At Budokan The Damned - Live At Shepperton
  15. Yeah, well except for the fact that it is a shitty cassette. It will come out on LP and CD in the summer though which is very cool!
  16. And now my already large Jawbreaker collection grows by one and my wallet shrinks by 18.
  17. Since I don't own a lot of these and don't want to pay a fortune for originals I'll be very happy to pick these up as they are released.
  18. That room is connected to my living room (I stood in the opening to shoot that photo). I my main stereo that I play my records on is in that room and I have a big couch in there for sitting. That turntable in the record room is hooked up to an old receiver and laptop to digitize records to put on my iPod so it doesn't get used much. I have plastic over the window now for winter because that window is drafty (the windows are over 20 years old at this point and will have to get replaced in the next few years) which I'll just leave on there permanently to keep drafts or heat away. Heat isn't really an issue back there because I keep the place cool in summer and I have a ton of trees in the backyard so the sun never beats down on that part of the house anyway. I also build backs for those expedits to make them sturdier and to keep the records from slipping out the back.
  19. I never did post a photo of my record room after selling my old shelves (that everyone here loved but sadly they outlived their usefulness due to space constraints and the fact that my fiance demanded that i keep the vault contained to one room). Here's the new room as of a week or so ago. I redid the room last spring, my lady liked the expedits in white so we went out and grabbed enough to fill the room. At some point that 2x4 is going to be replaced by a 4x4 when I run out of room in the existing shelves. I don't give a shit about that window being blocked as I have never opened it. The current total count of records is a little shy of 10,000. I think I will have a party to celebrate when I hit the 10k mark. Most of the old shelves are still in service over at Logan Hardware in Chicago. I kept a couple of them up in my office for the mailorder stuff.
  20. I ordered one to maintain completion. I don't care that I already have it on clear, blue, black, black 2nd, clear (re), green (re) and the original test pressing. I must have ALL! Now someone please sell or trade me the jawbreaker/jawbox split 7" with the large spindle hole, it's the only version I don't have!
  21. Sometime I need to take a new one as the one I did years ago is now outdated. The only Husker Du record I still need to complete my collection is a red vinyl Flip Your Wig and I lose sleep every night that I don't have it.
  22. All of the colors of Spunk*! *except the black one. The top six records are all the UK issue and the lone one at the bottom is the newly released US one.
