This reminds me of the time in 1996 my car was broken into. A friend had taken a photo of my bare ass because you know, I was 19. I took the photo once developed and stashed it in my glovebox. The morning I came to find my car broken into the stereo was gone and everything was gone through but that photo was propped up nicely on the drivers side seat. 
 
I was so broke and pissed but still laughed my head off. 
 
I put it back in the glovebox and forgot about it until my Dad borrowed my car six months later and was pulled over by a cop only to find it tucked into the same envelope with my registration. Awesome conversation came later.
 
What's the moral? I don't know but you reminded me of this story so why the hell not. Oh, don't sweat it too much and make your friend buy you a new drive.

eBay really really really sucks. I still use it because of how many people it reaches but if you sense a headache then the best thing to do is cancel the transaction because odds are good it will in fact be a headache.

A FUCKING MONDO PRINT??
 
So stoked on this, it's actually my first Mondo print.  I actually have never read the book or seen the movie, but it's been on my to-read/watch list for a long time, a lot of people have recommended it to me.  This actually prompted me to jump on Amazon and grab a copy.  I really dig the print, it has a very cool, 2001 style vibe to it.  (I used a stock photo because I didn't actually unroll it, I was frightened my son would get his grubby hands on it, haha)
 
 
Starflyer 59 - Talking Voice vs Singing Voice - Thank you!!  I'm always excited to add to my (currently very small) SF59 collection, everything Jason does is gold.  This has been on my wantlist forever.
 
Nine Inch Nails - (OG) Pretty Hate Machine - Another one on my list for a long time that I've never picked up.  Both of these records will get a lot of play!
 
Loved the note, and love that you thought of sending me that notorious beer.  I send beer over the boarder every year for SS, but I'm always taking a huge gamble that the whole package will be confiscated, haha.

The guy on the right in the bathtub is an old co-worker of mine. This is their first 7" and a comp 2x7" they were on. The Prozacs/Guts split was also a nice surprise. Bands I haven't heard of, and enjoy are always a welcome surprise.
 

 
This is Barghest's newest LP The Virtuous Purge. Barghest is a black metal band from Baton Rouge, where I used to live. I never got around to picking up this album, so I'm pretty excited to finally have a copy.
 

 
My Santa also BUILT ME A HAND-MADE 'NOW PLAYING' STAND! This is crazy awesome, and way beyond what I ever would've expected to receive. I managed to strip the screws while putting it together (because I'm an idiot who didn't read the directions), but I'm going to get some replacements to put it together properly.
 

 
Finally there's a calendar and beautiful coffee table book of Hubble images. I run a planetarium, so these are both pretty spot-on gifts. Santa also included a nice mix cd of Canadian bands. My Santa is totally DafTyler. Thanks for everything, this is an awesome collection of stuff!

1: rook coffee: I am a BIG coffee drinker, I drink a cup before work everyday but usually stick to my own target bought stuff but I am always down to try new things so this will def be put to use!
2: Karate Kid Action Figure: DANIEL SON! YOU GO UP AND DOWN NOT LEFT TO RIGHT! 1 of my all-time favorite movies, I too am a huge movie buff and love toys, awesome office decor much?
3: Lego Mini Figures: I have a few of these in the office from work, I got a rad snakecharmer and an alien with ray-gun!
4: Shut Up & Sing Movie: I have never heard of this movie but I have an open mind to almost anything cinematic so I will give it a shot! Gotta live the C-Dix!
5: Dikembre Cassette: I have heard of this band before but have yet to give em a listen, however I love new music and dead formats, horray new music!
6: MOON FUCKING SORROW: DUUUUDE I saw the receipt you left in the box from Blood Music, saw you also grabbed that yung Perturbator which I also love, sooooo stoked on this LP, Black Metal! I have yet to listen to this album but have listened to the band, very stoked on this!
7: Sharon Jones 'It's a Holiday Soul Party': I have not heard much of Sharon Jones I will be honest, but can't go wrong with a little Soul baby, will put this one on the platter on Thurs/Friday.
8: MO FUCKIN CARPATHIAN FOREST BITCHES: I have YET to buy a CF LP but have been meaning to for quite some time now and BAM! As you probably noticed from my collection I LOVE Norwegian Black Metal (Burzum, Mayhem, Darkthrone) so I was puuuuumped to see this bad boy at the bottom, thank you so much Santa!
 
 
And that about raps it up, what an awesome display of unique items, I am so happy with everything I got and can not wait to do it again next year. My guess is 100% 'GentlemanJerseyDave' like I said you left the invoice in the box which made it a bit easier.
 
My ONLY gripe this year is that the person I bought SS gifts for kinda blew me off but what's more disappointing is they also did the same thing to 'Batman' last year, one of the rules is to post pictures and explain what you got, so they should at least have the courtesy of a picture.
 
 
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

Parents brought in a stray young cat off of the street last winter (for those up north here last year, you can remember how brutal it was) since he was frail and hungry. Kept him for a while and my mum tried to find him a home in a shelter, tried to go around the whole neighborhood trying to find if someone had lost him (he was very well housebroken) - but no luck, so we just kept him, had him neutered, get shots, the whole thing. Feels like someone must have abandoned the poor soul. Here he is, a year later, a /much/ bigger and happier cat. He doesn't meow much at all, communicates almost entirely non-vocally, and is really energetic and curious (but he's probably only like 2-3 years old so that's normal, I'd expect), and he is the sweetest gosh darn thing ever. I love him so much.

Bought some super rare test presses from cepcarn4 and he sent them wrapped in a plastic grocery bag inside a bubble mailer! Who can honestly still be a member here and think that's an acceptable way to send records, let alone rare test presses?
 
Suffice it to say, I overpaid for these and of course they arrived damaged. Absolutely infuriated at this seller.

I'm sorry but reading that article made me laugh my ass off. Seriously, the guy came to do the much hyped interview then felt it was too long to write himself so he just let the label write it? I don't smell any more controversy than this band should be checking with their manager as to why this slipped but this article is a pathetic excuse for journalism.

At the moment he's 7 weeks, so he runs like wild for 2 hours and then needs to get a sleep (best if there's someone he can lay on).
