Great job!

Last August we sold our house.  Built a new house, finished it in October.  Then decided to finish the basement myself.  Been without records and audio for 10 months.  About 3 weeks ago I finished the basement enough to start moving stuff in.  It's a work in progress with still more stuff yet to come from the framers.

I sent him a picture of how truly fucked the LP was.  Even he was shocked at how warped the C/D LP was (A/B was perfectly fine).  Just bummed that I shelled out $50 for a record I couldn't play and got a lesser replacement.  In the end, I got a replacement, so I shouldn't be too upset, but still...just bummed.  He tried to make it up by throwing in an STB 45 adapter.  So, there is a plus I suppose.  He was definitely nice about the whole thing, so don't think he was rude or anything.  I think he does genuinely care, and some people are cunts and try to take advantage.  Still, all he has to do is ask for a photo to keep people from getting shit they don't deserve. Save a few copies of each version, wait a month to make sure nothing comes up, then release those extra copies if everything arrives to people just fine.  That's what Ripple does.  That's what a lot of labels do. 

 

I'm not sure how he manages to do it, but the dude running Riding Easy Records irritates me more & more with each consecutive release. Why would anyone want 5 different variants of the same record all on clear vinyl? I don't see why anyone would want 5 different versions just because the color is different let alone 5 different versions with the only difference being awkward photos of each band member. And more importantly, who wants the version with the band member who is an obvious mouth breather? I'm sure the "mouth-breather clear" variant isn't selling out any time soon. They look like a bunch of dudes who got denied roles in Eyes Wide Shut or like they raided grandma's whacky trunk full of shit she shoulda sold at a garage sale in the 50s. It's just so gimmicky & lame IMO.

Finally have a camera that will at least take a viewable photo, so I thought I would share some pics. Speaker placement is not ideal, but it is a work in progress.
 

 

I built this room in my basement from bare concrete up. I still would like to add a couple more posters and some lighting over the player but overall I'm pretty happy with the results. I love having the guitars on the wall! Sorry couldn't get good pics with my cell.

I love the crazy things people write/draw. It's always the most awful stuff, but it's usually so absurd that I can't help but laugh. My experiences are mostly from South Carolina, so I feel you on the heat and I'd reckon that the things I've read are from some of the worst people around.

Yah.  Terrible.  Worst shit of my entire life.  Dropping guts in my pants was a more pleasant experience than using that thing.  Imagine taking a deuce in a sauna, but with the smell of rotting meat so pungent that it could stagger an elephant.  The "art" that was also poorly drawn inside was super awesome too.  Some cartoon chick with massive tits riding what can only be described as the biggest, overly-veiny dick on planet earth.  If only cell-phones had cameras back then, it was snap worthy.  That poop will haunt me until I die.

Hochelaga is killer. With the exchange rate against the Euro being so good, even the price directly from Totem Cat wasnt as bad as some American Distro releases. I think it cost me $26 with shipping from France. Are there any on Discogs for decent prices?

I skipped this tour because i would pretty much be paying 35 bucks to see graveyard again. I never really got into clutch(not that i think they are bad but more just they exist and have heard a few songs that were fine but didnt drive me to go buy a bunch of their records). That new mastodon really didnt win me over and based on setlists i saw they were heavy on the new record which is expected. They sometimes bust out really awesome old stuff in their sets (played hearts alive when i saw them last year) and sometimes just usual stuff that is cool but not jaw droppingly surprising.
Mastodon always seems to bring really great support on their tours over the years though. Bands that deserve a bit more exposure to the mainstream. (graveyard,kvelertak,kylesa,intronaut, dillinger escape plan to name a few)

I sell limited edition art and if I had people acting like entitled babies, I would just ban them for life. No question. Then they would have something to cry about.
