I find it super strange how super fans get defensive when people bring up legitimate criticisms. 
 
there's no reason a double LP pressed in these kinds of numbers should ever be over $25. 
 
People can defend the band and try to shut up disappointed fans all they want, but the simple fact remains...
 
Whatever amount of profit is being made from these, could be made from increasing the quantity manufactured and decreasing the price.

Even with my membership discount 3 records (gary clark jr/son house, ben kweller/waylon jennings, & civil wars/lumineers) were going to run me $93. $93 FOR 3 RECORDS!?!!? Do any of you buy these for real? (If so, do you hate them and want to sell them to me on the cheap?) seriously though.. These aren't even full LPs.. And the packaging isn't even good (I've gotten a few insane deals on eBay auctions). They sell outrageously over priced records and they charge $10 for shipping. I'd love to know if anyone here can justify spending that much money on these records. /drunk rant

I'm extremely bummed by this. My wife and I had our first date at a Swellers show in San Francisco at Bottom of the Hill 5 years ago.

I was recently told that it's less safe to frame a record than to keep it stored elsewhere? (Not just the record itself - But in it's cover.) I'm curious as to the reasons why. I love looking at my wall and knowing there's a rare, gold pressing of one of my favorite records in that frame. For that reason, it was the first thing I thought of doing once I got it. I just tried to google why it wouldn't be safe to frame them.. But, all I got were links to buy record album frames, lol.
Just started this topic because I couldn't quickly find an answer, and the info might be of use to another newbie in the same boat...

Wonder how the pop punk bros will react to this being pressed all on black vinyl.

Well, that's no way to spend your time. This is about music. You should be happy I'm even interested in owning some vinyl. There shouldn't be all these "rules" and you shouldn't just mock people simply because they're not as "educated" or as into collecting vinyl as you are.
