  1. 12/7 - Some big shitty radio fest... but Frank Turner and Jimmy Eat world are playing, so trying to weasel some free tickets. 12/10 - NOFX, D4, Masked Intruder 12/11 - The Thermals 12/12 - Trip to new york
  2. I already bought myself a new bike 6 weeks ago, and i just got a new coffee maker and about 10 lbs of coffee for wedding gifts...... So maybe stuff for the house like a fridge or new toilet. Probably list out some records, and get some nicer new clothes.
  3. Our agency has and still works with some large credit unions, and healthcare/hospitals/hospice accounts... So much boring work. I am not a designer, i am a media planner so i can't chime in to these conversations but i sure wish i worked on some better accounts. And yes, we have i think 3 art directors with stand up desks. I am super excited because we picked up a local dog shelter/SPCA account and in January i get to work with puppies instead of dying people (hospice).
  4. I will have to keep my eyes peeled. I honestly don't ever remember seeing one, but i guess i haven't been keeping my eye out for variants of this since i picked up the gray version a couple years back.
  5. Ahhh.... Purple version too? Don't think i have seen one of those pop up,
  6. the strange comp 12" pic disc is also on gray, which is not listed. I have the green, black and gray as part of my guttermouth collection.
  7. for whatever reason i have always hated orlando. Could be the tourist, crazy traffic, or me always getting lost on their toll roads... whatever it is, that place just seems terrible just about every time i am there. However i did see some crazy fun shows at the social (long ago), and have heard good things about wills pub.
  8. I live in the Tampa bay area (in safety harbor - a suburb of tampa and st pete - 30 mins away from each). St pete is great, where in st pete are you moving to? Notable st pete establishments: Venues - State theater (on central - 600 block) - larger shows like face to face, teenage bottlerocket... size bands (maybe like 1200 capacity) Local 662 (on central - 600 block) - smaller shows like guttermouth, old man markely, TSOL (couple-few hundred capacity) Fubar (on central - 600 block) - tiny hole in the wall bar that can fit maybe 100-150. there are not a ton of shows here but i caught the Ataris there last year. Janus live - large courtyard venue - outside - couple thousand capacity. i just saw rancid there a couple months back. Also on central but down towards the water. Record shops - Daddy kool - not great but mostly new releases, show tickets, cds... this is on central in the 600 block - planet retro - good deal of used records come through here, prices can be a bit high at times but i have scored some killer stuff here. they just moved again and i havent been to their new store yet but its on central near the taco bus. - tampa/ybor - has microgroove. its a small shop with mostly used vinyl and its pretty good. its in seminal heights like 10 mins from downtwon ybor/tampa. worth the trip as there are some good places to eat in that area. - sound exchange and Mojo records/book - are both in Tampa near the busch gardens area of town... maybe like 45 mins north of st pete. st pete has had several new breweries open up along central. i have been to cycle brewery and thats pretty nice place. the burg, the bends, octave, the emerald, fubar... are all places/bars i seem to end up when going out in st pete but there are a decent chunk of bars & restaurants in the area. taco bus is a 24 hour joint that is pretty popular with everyone. They have veggie and vegan options if you are either. Not sure if you are a dog owner, but st pete has a nice dog beach that we usually hit up a few times a year. that should help you out a bit. let me know if you have any specific questions and i will do my best to fill you in. good luck with the move.
  9. only been married a week, but we have separate accounts. It just seems easier at the moment, but I'm am sure over time we will combine forces. She has a debit card to my account in case of any emergencies and we have a joint savings account but that's it.
  10. Bummed i sold these: gob (Canadian skate punk band) 7"s PMFS - knife in the marathon 12" on white with screen printed b side No Trigger - canyoneer LP on clear vinyl Kinda miss these, but sold them for big bucks while i was laid off for 7 months: - Gaslight - Sink or swim LP - both copies of the first pressing black & white/red splatter - Nofx - 22 songs LP on yellow vinyl - Screeching weasel - 2x test press LPs (boogada and how to irritate...) - No use for a name - colored fat presses (live in a dive, hard rock bottom, keep them confused)
  11. Got mine earlier this week and it sounds great, totally forgot about bonus 7" so that was a nice surprise.
  12. sorry for the duplicate thread, i browsed the record store thread but didnt see anything on NYC. thanks for the input, because i will have limited time i will most likely stick the Manhattan area, plus i have never been to NYC so im sure getting anywhere will take me twice as long. Ill check for the other threads for other tips and advice. thanks again!
  13. hey guys, I need some help from those that live or recently visited NYC. I will be heading up to Manhattan for a work function on 12/12-12/14 and wanted to check out at least one or two record shops while there. I believe i will be staying at a hotel near Penn Station, and wondered what the best shops for punk rock. I have generations marked and have heard good things, but what other shops focus on or have a good chunk of punk records? any tips or advice will be helpful, thanks in advance!
  14. + Think i got a free trip to NYC in early december through work without having to actually work. Plus i think i can bring my girl along with me. + leave for Vegas Wedsneday + Week off of work + Getting married friday in Vegas with 28 friends and family members - been stressed a lot lately - even Vegas weddings are expensive - check engine light has been on in my car for the last few days... just gonna ignore that for awhile. http://youtu.be/0vshlGWvN-c
  15. This should not matter, but feels kinda weird.
  16. I ordered that last week but got the regular blue... has anyone actually seen a green one yet?
  17. So i collect Propagandhi records and looking to fill some gaps. This is what i have (Not pictured How to Clean everything repress on Blue, Blue/Yellow and the Fat Store splatter version). I know i need: - Failed states on red - FYP split 7" with the regular black cover (not the inverted mostly white cover) - cover variations of the I spy 10" - any other random things i am missing, variants, tests.... Let me know if you can help, down to trade or buy depending on what you have. (if i am slow to respond later this week, its because im out in vegas getting married). thanks
  18. grabbed this tonight... the bands version being sold during prefest/fest
  19. he won 2 of my recent auctions, paid really quick, and left proper feedback right away with no scammy shit. I know it doesn't help this thread but figured i would toss that out there.
  20. i shoulda gone to off with their heads but figured the ritz would be packed for masked intruder and TBR, and boy was i wrong. seemed like the pre fest crowd was alot smaller than expected. oh well. tomorrow i will be at the ritz most of the day, but will prolly sneak over to the orpheum to watch slow death.
  21. just got home from prefest... ended up catching Holy Mess do an alkaline trio cover set, the crusades, no trigger, swellers, mixtapes, masked intruder and teenage bottlerocket good times.
  22. picked up this a couple hours ago... didnt see any other fest/pre fest exclusives yet.
  23. PM me the price for the most common pressing of Maps... I want one but dont care what color or pressing. The cheapest version is cool with me.
