I thought people were complaining for no good reason until I got my copy in the mail today. It looks like they printed the album art with a potato.

Thanks for posting this! I'll post updates as we have them in this thread. Good thing is artwork is already well into production and tests have been approved for weeks so these should be in soon-ish barring any setbacks.

    Are you for real?
I have ~2,500 posts in this community because I've been a part of it for over four years.  Who the tits are you to stroll in here like one of the countless new-jacks to falsely predict my vinyl purchases?  Are you dense, or just an idiot?

To be honest with you, a lot of my records "sit on [my] shelf".  The majority do.  In fact, I'd say that if it's not on my turntable or in an Itso cube, it's probably organized nicely into my Expedit.  Do you have even an inkling of why I choose to organize them when I store them?  It's for convenient access.  A wild concept, no doubt, but let's face it: I listen to and enjoy my records.  Being able to quickly grab them (off the shelf) and play them as their intended purpose is my thing.  But I guess having five additional copies of the same exact press and variant - "just because" - is also cool.

You are correct.  It is America, and it is a free country.  Spend what you'd like on which records you'd like.  And do what you want with them.  I don't have a problem with that.  Obviously I'm going to raise my brow if you choose to frame the jacket, use the vinyl as a coaster, and beat off into the sleeve.  But hey; that's your call.  That's your right as a "collector", I guess.  But in a few weeks, an average record collector [who doesn't have a ridiculous, Godly post count of 2,500 on VC] will miss out on this album.  And amidst the slew of copies being flipped on eBay, there will be a handful of copies gathering dust on the shelf of some twat who feels he's entitled to accumulate duplicates just to have.  And that's wrong.  Don't play the well... you snooze, you lose... card here.  Fans of the band (who will be listening to the vinyl) will miss out on this because they have a life, and can't afford to hound VC for the latest repress information.  I'd say they're far more entitled to a single copy of the album, than you are to five.  Hoarding copies doesn't make you a collector with the freedom to buy what you'd like.  It makes you an ignorant asshole.

"Knife Party" is a top ten song as is "Cherry Waves". It's difficult to imagine how I'd fill the rest of that list. I don't know if ten is enough spaces for all the most killer tracks they have.

Chino describes it will be 4 to 5 songs from each album/era put on vinyl No details on the format (12", 10", 7" etc.) Probably would be about 2 to 3XLP. It bears clarifying that it seems to be the concept for the renditions of the songs to be live performances performed in the actual era in which the song was newest.

I know this is pretty premature but its exciting nonetheless.

I ordered mine with a shirt so i was a bit worried when i saw the size of the box and felt everything shifting around inside, but that thick bubble wrap sleeve was great.  Every corner was perfect, I forgot that HT used those things.

I can somewhat contribute here. I'm 38, and my oldest (who is 2 years older than teenage eric) is into La Dispute, Bayside, Converge, Brand New, The Wonder Years, Thrice, most of topshelf, runforcover, and nosleep bands. I'm very proud that I can help steer him in this direction. Where we live, it's all about mainstream, so I like to think I've done a pretty good job.  Yes, this is somewhat off topic, but it could very easily turn into a thread about the age of your kid and what their musical taste is.

Youth are allowed to have terrible tastes for a bit. It develops character, and allows you to obtain appreciation and scope on how far you've (hopefully) come, years down the road. Cheers for supporting your daughter. I'd just avoid any pricey purchases, really.

Not for nothing, but I'm pretty positive that a few months from now when I'm hearing Little Dipper on wax for the first time, the absolute last thing on my mind will be how much I paid to do so.  I think $22 is a little steep, but I wanted it so I bought it.  Seems pretty simple to me...

That Paypal issue was a random fluke... and as Matthew pointed out, it had nothing to do with Deathwish. Just a bad coincidence for you to stumble across. Like many, I've ordered from their label countless times over the years. They typically ship out on the same day (or the next), have unbeatable prices, deliver quality product, and are willing to go above and beyond for their customers. And like Juan said: it's just run by good people all around.
I know you weren't ragging on the label or their practices. And it's understandable that you'd have questions if you've never placed an order with them before. But to anyone who's ordered from DW more than a couple of times - or anyone who's been on the boards for a while - the idea of suspecting Deathwish Inc. to be a sketchy label is simply asinine. Not to sound like a fanboy, but I can personally think of no label I'm more comfortable or eager to support with my hard earned money. "Buy with confidence" is right. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.
