I've been a NSR subscriber since 2014. Basically the 2016 subscription couldn't work out. We only got Shai Hulud on vinyl. Eventually we're getting a free shirt, we have 25% off until the end of the year, digital on release day for every release (which has included Alistair Hennessy, Julia Louise and In Between), and I get the most limited variant of every record for 2016 (that would be only Spill's Top Ten) through the end of 2017 (We're getting WSTR and all the others to come). There will be new records from Julia Louise, my favorite band Daisyhead, Drug Church, Koji, Aficionado, Aviator, Looming, State Faults and whoever else. It's still going to be worth what I paid on Black Friday 2015 so I can't complain!

It IS pretty sparse, color-wise...however, I don't think they did anything to hide that fact when they posted the mocks. The mockups were pretty spot on, actually. 

I haven't heard the reissue but I'm guessing it's cut from the same plates, meaning it will still have the error in the intro. Drives me nuts too.

And now one of it spinning on my new (to me) set up--I recently upgraded from a Rega RP1 with acryllic platter and Ortofon 2m Red to a Pro-Ject Xpression III with acryllic and Ortofon 2m Blue. She siiiiiiiings! But now of course I want a better phono preamp to really hear all the things and feel all the feels...ugh. The struggle never ends.

I'm happy to hear about this.  Do you have an ETA at all?  If not (or if you can't say just yet), can you possibly remember to post in this topic when the 2nd press PO is order link is live?  I am subscribed to this topic so I'll see it... I don't get to check the board much anymore because work is so crazy lately which is how I missed the first one and I'm really kicking myself for it.

This same exact criticism could be said for nearly every band ever.

there's something weird about this band, at least for me, and i've been trying to put my finger on it since I first heard them, prob the year USAD came out.  i now LOVE USAD but it took me quite a while to warm up to it back then.  and I've had the same experience with this new one - first listen and I didn't really find much, i've actually listened to it on repeat all day today and i'm now starting to "get it" i'd say.  I didn't love "right here" on first few listens, either (although "the glass" instantly stuck for whatever reason).
 
so I think it's because his vocals are way less about musicality and melody as they are about being percussive and biting rhythmically as well as lyrically, as well as fitting into the grooves or pockets of with the music, if that makes sense.  i think the music is very well-arranged for a pop punk band.  their drummer for one is a beast, esp on this album.  the vocals are pretty limited in range but it's his style and it works well.  just means it's hard to find the hooks the first few go-arounds, i think.
 
this is all of course just my opinion, but i had been trying to figure out why it would take me several listens to get into a collection of songs that i eventually end up being WAY into, and that's what i've come up with so far.  
 
anyone else find that this band writes songs that take a while to click?  or do you guys just instantly dig it?  (not talking to the people who think they suck but are still for some reason trolling this post).  

my buddy's brother won the nimrod contest (kickflipped into a half pipe, shattering his ankle) so we all got to meet them backstage after the show.  seriously was blown away how nice bj and mike were to the fans (tre was not not nice, but he was a weirdo haha).  they all signed tons of shit for my teenage self, some of which i still have.  I couldn't have possibly had a better experience, it's probably a lot of why i always have and continue to love the band.  
 
no point, just a fun story about a teenage dream come true for a gd fan.  all these represses are bringing up a lot of nostalgia, it's been awesome reliving a lot of that shit!
