  1. You're referring to biamping, correct? If so, I agree. My opinion is that biwiring does nothing, a la kannibal's argument.
  2. I like how it jumps from a $400 bluetooth speaker to $2100 Magnepans.. Surely there's nothing in between those that could be recommended to a beginner
  3. Cleaning solution is not that expensive, relatively speaking. A $20-30 bottle will last for literally thousands of records when used properly. Think how much you spend on the albums themselves, and it should start to make sense.
  4. Pots could need cleaning, board could be bad, etc. Bottom line is the receiver probably needs to be serviced.
  5. An ortofon OM5e, while not the best cartridge out there, still will not skip on a record if it is set up proper and the record isn't damaged. It sounds like your tracking force is set up improperly. What scale did you use to set the weight of the tonearm and what weight is it set at - reference the owners manual for your turntable if the last sentence confused you. To your questions: 1) not if the tonearm still isn't set up properly. 2) many options out there, see the beginners thread of this forum 3) sure clean it again, but only after setting up your turntable properly this time.
  6. It has nothing to do with your opinion and more to do with the fact that you don't seem to understand how pre-orders work. Waxwork stated Goosebumps was a pre-order (meaning it hadn't been manufactured yet) and would take at least 8 weeks to ship out when they sent the first email announcing it, and then it got delayed, simple as that. Justifying your displeasure with completely unsubstantiated claims about their business model seems to be some vaguely related veil to hide the fact that you're simply upset you don't have your record yet. Just entitled and childish all around. "Trolling" them on instagram and social media is just another outlet for you to be mildly annoying besides coming in this thread and trying to (unsuccessfully) stir up shit. If you didn't want to wait for something that was labeled as a pre order, you shouldn't have ordered it. Mondo took 5 months to get my Guardians of the Galaxy out but I don't see you with pitchfork-in-hand in that thread. Circa took over 6 months to get Juturna out and everyone was calm and civil about it that thread. Delays happen all the time. And if you've never dealt with stuff getting delayed from a label, then you must be new to record collecting.
  7. Didn't even bother with the rest of your post because it's probably just as idiotic as this statement
  8. So if Circa Survive takes 6 months to fulfil a pre-order it's just playing the game, but when waxwork takes 3 it's a mutiny? I'll never understand this board.
  9. Anybody running into issues building an automatron after getting jezebel's head? I have all of the supplies necessary and still can't build it. I googled it and it seems some other people are having the issue but I'm not sure if it's a glitch
  10. Night shift is definitely one of the coolest features to be added in a long time.
  11. Thanks dudes! It's been a long time coming so it's awesome to be able to cross it off the list and not have to worry anymore. We've talked about it for a while so it just feels like a weight lifted off of the proverbial shoulder. We are just gonna do an extremely small courthouse-type ceremony and have a party in someone's backyard sometime after, so the planning should be pretty straightforward and very minimal. Being my age and attending as many weddings as I have, I don't envy anybody who has had to plan any more beyond that.
  12. Got engaged to my girlfriend of 7 years last week. It's alright.
  13. The new plans aren't terrible, people just have to accept that carriers aren't subsidizing the cost of any phone hardware anymore (I.e. They aren't going to give you an iPhone that Apple charges $800 for less because you sign a two year contract). All they are doing is charging you full price for the phone, letting you pay it off over time and discounting your data so your bill won't change all too much( depending of course on what plan you wanted.) I personally accepted this fact, signed up for the payment plan on a new 6s plus and paid off the phone in full a month later so my bill is actually $35 less than it was when I was in a two year contract
  14. Cleaned my copy before playing it and it sounds fine. All of my Milan records have been stellar.
