Fun story, I bought three or four copies of Planetary Duality from Soundcheck Hollywood 2012-ish hoping to score both purple and blue variants, when they were all the same I tried to sell them on eBay and had trouble getting rid of them for $20. Luckily when they value shot up I paid off an entire credit card with them.

I agree with all of this. As as far as carts go, the Shure m97xe or the AT-440mlb are always go to suggestions for me as they are easy to install and align and sounds great for the price... Whatever you buy just get it from somewhere with a good return policy as you can try to break it in and see how you like it and always send it back if you don't.

If you are happy with the way other sources sound on your set up, I don't think adding a different power amp for your speakers makes much sense. It sounds like something strictly in your phono chain is leaving something to be desired for you. I would personally start with a different cartridge, it'll be the easiest, most cost effective upgrade without making a substantial change to your set up, however it will have a substantial impact on your sound quality. I wasn't a huge fan of my Pro-Ject carbon in general when I had one, but when I ditched the ortofon cart it was much more tolerable.

I'm confused by the OP. Are you saying music in general doesn't have the capacity to sound better than streaming? Or just the vinyl portion of your set up? Are you happy with the way digital music (MP3 or FLAC) sounds but not vinyl? Personally I would drive those ESLs with a lot more power than the 4100, in my listening experience with those ML electrostats really come to life when driving them with much more power, particularly when you have a strong 2-channel amp dedicated for the fronts or even monoblocks. Those things can handle up to 300w at 6 ohms and your amp is pushing 165... I had that exact set up in one of our demo rooms at one point and I hated brininging clients in there to listen, it was such a poor representation of the ESL speakers because (especially at louder volumes) it was obvious they weren't getting enough power. However if it is just the vinyl you are disappointed with, change out the ortofon cartridge and be done with it

Very interesting, I'll be curious to see how it performs in person. Personally I'm going to hold off on a 4K BD player -- at least until next year -- due to overall lack of discs/content. For now, streaming 4K and upscaled 1080p blu rays will have to do.

I really liked the finale. To me, the theme of control (or lack therof) goes beyond just our protagonists on the show. Our own feelings of needing to know all of the answers can be looked at as us trying to "control" the situation... I find it funny that a lot of people are complaining on the internet about unanswered questions this season for that exact reason, and I feel like those people are completely missing the point. I do find myself fighting against my own desire to definitively know everything that's going on in the show (specifically what's real and what's not) and feeling challenged by it, and for that I think the show works brilliantly. If everything suddenly was revealed in the finale the whole point of the show would be contradicted. Just my $.02

Sounds like you are going for them all but as a heads up the GITD sounds like dogshit, I sold my copy a couple of years ago and picked up a standard black, strictly for listening though.

I'm convinced there are people on this board who will find a way to complain no matter what the outcome. Invada found a way to literally please everyone except for beanie babie record collectors; they released variants in the U.S. and in Europe so people in both continents can buy this and save on shipping costs. They kept the pressing numbers high to ensure everyone has a chance to snag one. And now people are complaining there are too many variants, only because they treat vinyl like Pokemon and need to catch every version of their favorite album that comes out. It's an absolute joke. Imagine if they released one variant, limited to 500 copies and it sold out immediately. How many people would be crying their eyes out over here over that situation? Obviously Invada knew there would be a bajillion people who wanted this album so they pressed a shit load of them. I have no problem with that, or the fact that people who can't afford to buy all of them won't be able to keep their stranger things soundtrack collection complete. Maybe it'll force them to go outside and get some sun, or something.

Sounds like tracking weight issue to me. #1 what are you using to check the tracking force? You should be using a scale (either digital or preferably analog) and not just going off the numbers on your counterweight as they are usually inaccurate #2 after you get #1 sorted out, try to raise it to 1.8 as it can go that high and you'll still be fine.
