  1. Dirty was the first one I got and I turned out okay. Band fucking rules. Wish I got to see them more than once.
  2. Got these yesterday. They look great. Haven't had a chance to listen yet. Thanks for the tip on the SCV record too.
  3. Yeah that's awesome. I got mine in the mail from Bullmoose... Definitely want the Lucero tattoo. I've worked like 5 of their shows and will be working another one on 10/5. Love those boys. I've alluded to wanting the tat before, hopefully can make it happen.
  4. Just got shipping confirm from Undertow, but not sure if it's for Swan City Vampires or if it's for the reissues. Guess I'll find out next week, lol.
  5. Set a reminder on my phone, never went off. Of course. Guh. Just ordered. 3:36pm EST #6121
  6. Thought Bad Blood sounded pretty good. Will purchase.
  7. My disdain is more from a musical standpoint than a lyrical one. He is a tremendous songwriter. No question. Been a fan of his for over a decade. Saw him with the Truckers a handful of times in addition to the myriad post-DBT solo/400 Unit shows. Some of the best rock shows I ever went to were 400 Unit shows, right after he was dismissed from DBT, and was playing to 40 people in sweaty rock clubs. He still had something to prove. Those shows were raw and loud and raucous and just kicked major ass. This new leaf he has turned is admirable, especially with his sobriety and new family life, but it is certainly not the Jason Isbell I know and love from a musical standpoint. I'm also in the camp that thought Southeastern was GOOD but not GREAT, mostly due to the reasons above. There are some good songs though - Children of Children is a nice ode to his mother and I really like To A Band I Loved as a wonderful tribute to the almighty and sadly defunct Centro-matic. But his live show is formulaic and predictable at this point (or at least the last 3 shows I saw were - I've skipped seeing him in the area the last couple times because of this). However like I said above, he is a tremendous songwriter. The talent is undeniable, and I will continue to purchase his records. The older stuff is pretty hard to find now, no? I have the new one, Southeastern (both pink and bootleg), Here We Rest and Live in Alabama. Need the others. Are they even available?
  8. I simultaneously love and hate the Robinson Brothers.
  9. I've come to realize I'm pretty much the only person on earth who thinks this record sucks.
  10. I like it but I don't love it. I miss the all out scuzz. Need to give it more listens.
  11. Nice box, but agree with the sentiments about single albums. I've got a handful of her stuff and would rather just fill in the gaps vs get the box.
  12. I mean at this point it's gotta just be a joke to them right? Because it's certainly a joke to me.
  13. Never even heard of Blackhole. Is there a link to DL anywhere?
