  1. This dude is so weird. I don't remember if I posted this story earlier in the thread, but a few years ago I had a "for sale" thread going, and he bought about $130 of records from me (it was a whole bunch of $8-10 range stuff). He didn't have enough money, so he asked if he could pay in installments over a number of weeks time (and I wasn't going to send a single record 'til all the money was there). I figured it was going to be at worst a waste of my time, but sure enough he came through on the installment plan and I unloaded a bunch of records on him. The impression I got at the time was that he had good intentions but got a little overzealous with his buying.
  2. This looks really cool, gonna have to pick it up. Thanks man.
  3. I would pay $2 if I saw it in a store, it's realistically worth about the price of a regular copy of the LP. Only downside is you'll be missing the funny picture of Joe Erg on the back.
  4. Ha...I still have those "Having A Blast" and "Radio Daze" bootlegs too. If anyone hasn't heard it, the "Radio Daze" CD is a recording of them on WFMU radio in 1991 or 92, and the sound is great. Highly recommended download.
  5. Haven't gotten to the point of breaking up my Ergs! collection, but it has crossed my mind in the past.
  6. Screeching Weasel Vindictives Queers MTX Parasites Boris The Sprinkler Beatnik Termites McKrackins Jon Cougar Concentration Camp did one but it wasn't part of the Clearview series thing. Also there's that Operation Ivy bootleg 12" if you want to really be a completist. And I wanna say the Huntingtons did one too, may have been a Ramones compilation album tribute though. Also Groovie Ghoulies were supposed to do "Subterranean Jungle" but it was never released or maybe not record, not sure. That would've been cool.
  7. Speaking of this, have the Fresh & Only's released anything lately? For awhile it seemed like they had something coming out weekly. I think the last thing I have of theirs is the Sacred Walls 12".
  8. Hey Thick, can you tell the pressing numbers for these picture discs? I have /1000 on my list for the ALL one, but I don't know where I got that number. I don't have anything for the Alkaline Trio one. Speaking of that, anyone know why "Bye Bye Love" didn't end up on their b-sides album, or even that leftovers thing they did after that?
  9. ha...I knew when I saw the username that this was gonna be good. Only one I'd be interested in is the ALL one, and that wouldn't go for nearly as much as the other two. Also...these splits ruled.
  10. Amazing Transparent Man! The biggest show my high school band ever played was with them in I think 1999 at 10 Car Pileup in Towson, MD. I thought it was the coolest thing ever when halfway through the set the guitarist and bassist switched instruments! Have those guys gone on to any other bands?
  11. That's the point though, these are all cities that they have never played before. Bummed that Wilmington, DE is already sold out, that was gonna be the closest for me. *actually i'm not bummed anymore because it looks like tickets for this thing vary between $75 and $110.*
  12. Got my "speed of cattle" today. Packed great, looks fantastic. Thanks dude!
  13. There used to be (or still is?) this place called Chat St that was basically a huge Hot Topic before Hot Topic existed. They sold tons of band shirts and skateboard and weird apparel. But they also for some reason sold real (not CD-R) bootleg concert CD's. I bought a few Nirvana ones for like $25 each back in probably 1997 or so. But back to the topic at hand, sadly, the answer is no. People don't go down there to buy records!
  14. I've always loved that Fugazi track even though it was a total throwaway. Is this downloadable in any way?
  15. Yep, head to Merge! They were awesome on Fallon, they played "wrong". They also played "harnessed in slums" as a web exclusive: http://www.nbcnewyork.com/blogs/nonstop-sound/Archers-of-Loaf-Harnessed-in-Slums-Fallon-124642049.html
  16. WTF....i missed that Hormoaning when I was perusing your list!
  17. I remember this dude, he did a crazy cover of "Blew"...wearing 2 hats even!
  18. My friend is a Japanese loving nerd and has turned me on to a number of cool bands: THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT (so good!) The Pillows Go!Go!7188 Number Girl Ging Nang Boyz Blue Hearts
  19. I wanna say the first run is numbered out of /250 (except for more recent ones that are out of /350), so the box sets would be the next however many.
