wow. kind of glad I got one, even though I'm lukewarm on the tunes. my Pixies fanboyism got the best of me.

My Amazon.com copy arrived today - black vinyl. The gold would have been cool, but I'm just thrilled to have it on vinyl.

I liked BAGBOY okay I guess. It definitely sounded like a lower-tier Pixies tune to me, especially with the Kim Deal-esque backing vocals. But this EP just sounds like Frank Black throwaways... nothing distinctively Pixies in it. Even Santiago's guitar playing is kind of bland.

Deluxe arrived today from Anti. Good album - dark as fucc, though.

the 4LP set is too loud, I think. I mean, it's a loud album anyway, but the 4LP is earbleeding. Only worth keeping because of the b-sides. The MoFi is my go-to for Pinkerton from here on out.

Yeah, it's completely derivative of a ton of other movies. I don't think there is an original plot point in the whole flick. That said, it IS beautiful to look at and M83 did a great job, so it's not a complete waste of time. It was better than Elysium at least.

did that Plain Rid of Me actually come out? I remember it was a huge fiasco years ago when Aural Exploits was supposed to get some kind of exclusive pressing that kept getting delayed and delayed and then AE just disappeared entirely (apparently with a lot of people's money).

Yeah, I'm hoping Amazon UK gets some of these, even if they are limited to 1500 copies.

yes, 4AD direct. They seem to have them in stock according to the web site, and it's only $90 there. I played the remastered LP through tonight and it sounds simply brilliant. I know it's cliche, but I'm hearing things I never heard before. Literal goosebumps during Do You Love Me Now? Pressing is dead quiet and super flat and clean. Can't wait to spin the other records over the week.

this leaked finally... "Everything" is totally a NIN song. Yeah, the chorus is a bit more melodic than usual for him, but the song is arguably the heaviest on the album (which is surprisingly mellow). Good stuff.

happened to log in to my 4AD account tonight just to check on this and it looks like I'm shipped. No idea when it went out or when to expect it, but I cannot wait to get my grubby hands on this.

Was hoping Rosemary's Baby would be next, but the Reanimator LP was so cool, I'll be getting DoTD too.

I've been stepping up my Cure game lately - would love a Wish repress or a double release of Paris and Show.

I listened to my German "320" cut last night and I'd be hard pressed to buy another copy of this based on what I heard. It's pretty much flawless as is... I'll keep an open mind reading reviews, but it's going to be a hard sell for me. Especially at $50+.

Amoeba has these listed now - with their 15% off coupon currently floating around, I got Geogaddi and Music Has the Right for $45 shipped. Pretty happy with that.

$20 for shipping... might have to wait for Amazon on these. yikes.
