  1. Long in the Tooth is great. Repo Records on South St. is a solid, reliable store. Some people like AKA in Old City and Beautiful World Syndicate in East Passyunk (my hood!!), but I don't like those as much as the other two I mentioned. I usually drive to Princeton Record Exchange once a month and have to hit Double Decker a couple times a year.
  2. They sent out a Tweet this morning that they are packing records like "mad men" so I imagine these are going out real soon.
  3. Forgot about Can. this guy's gonna be broke all autumn.
  4. Haven't been this excited for a Vault package in a while... glad it's getting closer.
  5. Not yet, but it's the same distributor as the Suede box and that became available on Amazon UK for US shipping, so... Ah so many box sets this fall - Suede, J&MC, the Jam...
  6. nice - I just e-mailed and asked the to adjust my price, even though they'll probably do it automatically. no brainer at this point.
  7. scored a copy of Sausage's "Riddles Are Abound Tonight" (Les Claypool's brief 90s side project)... been looking for this one for a looooong ass time at a good price (ie, under $100) and finally saw one come up on Discogs. super stoked.
  8. nope. 2 weeks since release is a bit on the ridiculous side.
  9. hmm... not sure I "need" another live Raconteurs record, but that Dead Weather single might push me to get this.
  10. So in for this. I've had originals in my Discogs cart off and on for a few years, so this will be a nice compromise on price.
  11. no you don't. get it for the Neko Case and Secret Sisters songs, both of whom are far better artists than Taylor Swift is even in her dreams.
  12. I would use FedEx or UPS though if you have the option. My job requires me to ship materials to hotel guests on occasion and they are by far more reliable to get items to hotels than the US post. The packages should go to the mail room and they'll bring any mail to the front desk for guests to pick it up... usually same day it arrives.
  13. I probably got the other one then I have a confirmation e-mail from around 12:30 am, so I must have drunkenly thought this was too cool to pass up.
  14. I'm in, but will wait for Amazon UK to list it to remove the VAT and save on shipping to the US.
  15. the originals sound fantastic. those of you haven't heard these on vinyl are in for a treat.
  16. what's the opposite of buyer's remorse? because that's what I have after seeing those photos.
  17. almost jumped on one of these during Amoeba's 15% off sale... still would have been close to $220. So glad I saw this.
  18. I just want some of her later records to finally be officially repressed. It's kind of baffling that most of her stuff is OOP.
  19. I got burned by a copy of Stories from the City earlier this year I thought was an official repress... The sleeve looked perfect, but it sounded like ass and the grooves were squished together as if it was pressed really cheaply. It was definitely counterfeit and I should have done more research.
  20. it is, unless someone has compared the matrix #s etc. I don't get the need for a second listing.
  21. just got an e-mail from Acoustic Sounds - they are definitely not getting the green splatter. only black. bummer... i'll probably keep my order intact, though.
  22. ugh, this sounds pretty shitty... compressed to hell and overloud. I wonder if it was intentional.
