  1. My wife and I bought a house at the begaining of the summer. I have lived in apartments my whole life so a condo was out of the question. The best thing about a house is that you dont have anyone living above/below/next to you. The extra work to maintain it is worth not having to pay fees. I actually like having to mow my lawn, fix stuff etc. etc. I have become domesticated.
  2. I really don't have any true animosity towards anyone. I just feel like some people on here go crazy buying stuff because of variants instead of what's actually on the record. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. Maybe my post was more fitting for the gripes thread.
  3. I sometimes feel like if I pressed the sound of me taking a dump on a log shaped picture disc limited to 100 and posted about it on here that it would sell out. It seems quantity over quality wins around here.
  4. My No Idea copy came in the mail today. Its on black vinyl. Can't wait to jam it.
  5. Do you get alot of stuff signed when you see bands? I always though this was kind of lame but whatever floats your boat I guess.
  6. I havn't read this mag in a long time. The only music publication I read on the reg is MRR.
  7. This is my biggest fear. The first one was so good and I never thought they would make a second one. I have yet to see it and I dont think I want too.
  8. Mine came today. It's on black and came with the CD. The cd it numbered 306/1000. The funny thing is that I know own the "6 cover song" release on 3 different formats now. LP,CD and cassette tape.
  9. Some PJ pants and an itunes giftcard. I usually buy him a dvd of a movie I like that I want him to see. The last three years I have bought Mad Max, Rambo ( the first one), and Robocop II. All three of these are still sealed on a shelf at my parents house. I was leaning twords Starship Troopers this year.
  10. This rules. That LP is such a brain melter. I am pretty sure I have the demo tape laying around here somewhere.
  11. I will never understand people dropping big bucks on variants of new records. I think its just me. I collect more older punk/hardcore. On a sidenote I have a sealed copy of this on cassette. It was offered to me for less then 1/10th the price of what it's pulling down on ebay. Looking to trade it for something cool. On yet another sidenote is this record really that good. I have never been a huge Converge fan. I sort of fell off after Jane Doe but to be honest I wasn't super into them then either.
  12. I just got mine this past weekend. A punk distro had it for sale at a record show I went too.
  13. This is a common thing with alot of merch/screenprint companies. When I was screenprinting I worked for a huge corporate company that had contracts to print the uniforms for all the major fast food places, soda companies and chain stores. Upper management would show up and ask us why the shirts did not look like the mock up and we would patiently have to explain to them that the mock up was a computer generated imaged that you tweeked to look good and the sample shirt is actual screen print. MINDS WOULD BE BLOWN!! I do kind of miss printing 20,000 Hardees shirts for weeks on end.
  14. I was trying to word my post the right way. I did not want to come off as a dick. I just think there was a misunderstanding. I'll send you a private message with my info. To bring up my other point did you know the Thugs/Ducky Boys split was mislabeled? Thats more of a pressing plant issue. When i listened to it I was like " Since when does Mark Lind sing for The Pinkerton Thugs?" Haha.
  15. Did you guys watch after the credits? I guess there is some sort of scene that explains the movie, I dunno I hav'nt seen it yet.
  16. I love this. The Brains are my favorite band. Jersey Dave- from looking at some of your other posts I think our musical tastes are extremly similar.
  17. A bar I go to has the best jukebox. Alot of old punk/hardcore. It's awesome when school starts and all the college kids come in and complain about the music. Most of the time they are told to beat it.
  18. Yeah I was honestly shocked how fast the first one came. I am on the east coast and it was here in like 3 days.

  20. Mine came super fast, I was actually surprised about the speed it arrived. I ordered the split with Titus Andronicus two weeks ago and it has'nt shown up yet. I am not worried about it all the dudes in the band are cool they are not into ripping anyone off.
  21. I did'nt email them. I should of but at the time this record arrived I was in the process of moving. I went a couple weeks without internet and by the time I had everything set up I honestly forgot about it. This thread reminded me of it. I was super worried it was'nt going to show up before I moved. Growing up in the Boston punk scene in the mid 90's this was one of my favorite bands to see. I am glad it was finally pressed on vinyl I am just bummed it did'nt come as advertised.
