  1. If you want my suggestion get a red or clear copy from the MOV press. I had a black MOV and a Triple Crown seafoam and the MOV sounded so much better I sold the seafoam and bought a clear MOV.
  2. I have a specific piece of feedback, so I ordered the Bright Eyes vinyl box set from Popmarket when it was a Daily Deal a couple months ago and it showed up on my door last week. However, I never got shipping confirmation when the order was dispatched from your warehouse to USPS, so it just showed up randomly to my doorstep. This was slightly annoying because I like to keep track of my orders so I can make sure somebody brings them in the house and they don't warp in the sun on my porch. Regardless, the records arrived fine and thanks for the deal!
  3. New song is cool and I'm definitely down with the more poppy direction of this and Lookers but what the heck is with all the autotune on Greg's voice?
  4. Fuck that shit on principle, that's even more fucked up than them selling LPs for $60 that 5 years ago anybody could order on Amazon for $20. Boo on Failure, that's lame as shit. I definitely don't regret missing them in Philly after hearing that nonsense.
  5. As in an increase of $25 for their fucking names in Sharpie on the poster, which they printed more of because they knew people would buy them anyway. That's price gouging, fuck that.
  6. Got my Popmarket order today. Frustrated I didn't get tracking sent to me or I would have made it a point to be home this afternoon for it so it didn't sit on my porch in the sun all afternoon. Checked all the vinyl and it doesn't look like there's any warping or anything though so no big deal. Set is beautiful! I decided to stick the Cassadaga sticker on an outer sleeve to keep on the record.
  7. Digging up an old comment but I felt this so hard on that movie. Never really liked them before or sense but Llewyn Davis is amazing.
  8. I've been following it in my wantlist for a few months. It pops up sometimes but I keep holding out to get it for around $20-25 someday.
  9. I'd never heard of this before, might have to track one down someday! They seemed super cool to that guy who brought a bunch when I saw them too. They seem like such friendly people!
  10. If this was a prelude to a repress of Come Clarity that'd be nice.
  11. There was a guy near me in line for the Vintage Vinyl signing who had at least six with him to get signed.
  12. In for Pentimento. That's the only one I really wanted when they announced this but I doubted it would get released so I'm psyched!
  13. My girlfriend proposed a "Stage Four of grief" interpretation too. So I'm sure it's meant to be several things but I never thought it went deeper than "fourth album" before.
  14. Logged on to say I didn't realize that was where the name of the album came from either, I assumed they just did it because it was their fourth record. Which would have been super hokey, so obviously it was something else. I'm a fool.
  15. Good luck with whatever you're going to do next! Any company would be lucky to have someone as dedicated as yourself working for them. Do your successor a favor and tell them to stay far away from the boards.
  16. Remembered this came out all of a sudden and listened to it and holy shit it's fucking great. Ordered with a 15% discount code that SMXL has going on right now (coupon code: YESITSON) along with the series III 7" set because I already started the collection so I feel like have to complete it despite not being really into any of the individual songs.
  17. Hey secret santa! My name is Connor and I'm from Southern New Jersey just outside of Philadelphia, though my girlfriend lives in the city so I spend a lot of time there as well. I'm 23 and finishing up my final year of college at Rutgers with a major in English (what can I say, they made me pick something eventually) and a minor in Film. When I graduate I'd like to work in film/tv production and I was a production assistant on the set of a feature length b-horror movie called Death House that shot back in April. I've had some other various PA gigs since then too, but nothing nearly as cool. I play music too and just released my first solo full-length (though I'd recorded albums with my old band before) a week ago after a 2 year writing process and 9 months of recording at a studio called The Gradwell House in New Jersey with my friend Matt Weber (formerly of Young Statues and currently the touring guitar player for A Great Big Pile of Leaves). You can listen to it here if you want (and it would mean a ton to me if you could check it out)! I also play in 2 other bands that are still writing material and haven't released anything yet or played any shows. The first one is called Wild Dust and I play guitar; we're a weird, swampy punk band kindof like The Cramps/Murder City Devils or something. The second is a pop-punk/emo band called Pallet Town and I sing and play bass in that one. I also do write for/do video stuff with a local DIY music blog called Cemetery Tapes which one of the other guys in Pallet Town started. As far as my taste in music goes I'm into all different kinds of stuff, though mostly modern rock/emo/whatever you wanna call it. You can check out my collection here and I always keep both my collection and wantlist up to date. This year I've been into a lot of bands that I've always wanted to get into, but that have never quite 'clicked' for me until recently, like Bright Eyes (Cassadaga has become one of my desert island albums this year), Thursday and Title Fight. My all-time favorite bands/musicians are Brand New, Glen Hansard (of The Frames/The Swell Season) and Dallas Green (of City and Colour/Alexisonfire). I also go to a ton of shows; some of the best I've been to this year have been Glen Hansard (who I got to meet after a show in September) and Pinegrove acoustic at a house show in South Philly this summer. If you need to get any more dirt on me, you can find me on Instagram (connorrothstein) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/connor.rothstein). Thank you so much!! <3
  18. What do you do to flatten records? I have 2 warped ones lying around I'd like to try to fix eventually.
  19. I saw online somewhere that the day of in-store there was going to be a way to get them shipped on the 21st. I'm not trying to drive 2 hours each way again in 3 weeks to pick up a record, that would suck.
