roboticempire got a reaction from tetsuodaironman in Baroness' - First & Second 12" Repress Available to Order in the Online Store Now!
Hey there everyone!  Hope you're having a lovely spring.  The weather has been super pleasant over at Robo HQ and new flowers continue to bloom all over the mountainsides every week.  A great time of year to be outside and a great time of year to offer a new/old album for order.  Robotic Empire is teaming up with Hyperrealist Records once again to offer Baroness' First & Second album for order through our online store.  Order Here Freshly repressed with a silver foil stamped jacket this time around and a clear colored vinyl option along with standard black.  These are set to arrive in the next week and I'll begin packing and shipping them ASAP.  Baroness are touring machines throughout the entire year so hopefully you guys can get out to see them at one of their shows.  Tour dates listed below!

Unavailable since 2013, Hyperrealist Records has just repressed Baroness' crucial First & Second album and Robotic Empire is pleased to be the main mailorder outlet for the release!  Official street date for the reissue is June 7th and I am accepting orders now.  This new repressed version has silver foil stamped on the jacket and comes on clear colored vinyl or standard black vinyl.  Will ship ASAP once it arrives at Robo HQ. Order a copy now in the Robotic Empire Online Store : Here
BARONESS' now-classic, formative material sees a proper reissue, combined together as one deluxe LP. A bit dirtier, punker and more metal than their current rock-infused catchy weirdness, First & Second is an important document in the lineage of this awesome band, and all 38 minutes of music have been completely re-mixed and re-mastered for a much fuller sound than ever before.

Housed in a beautiful gatefold jacket with guitarist/vocalist John Dyer Baizley's elaborate and intricate artwork (spread through the exterior, interior and printed dustsleeve), this Silver Foil-Stamped beauty is available once again!

roboticempire got a reaction from hallowken78 in New Robotic Empire Online Store Launch & Jesu - Ascension Pre-orders!
Whoa! I hope you're sitting down because (holy crap!) Robotic Empire has a brand new website!  This gorgeous New Online Store is a considerable & refreshing change and has been in the works for close to a year (hmm, maybe it's been over a year?).  Robo's ancient zencart site that you have been loyally ordering on all these years is 15 years old!  Yes seriously, 15 years old!!  It was always threatening to break (or was breaking) and was a major headache to use.  It's hard for me to truly explain how stoked I am to have this cleaner, way more user friendly, and reliable website so I'll just suffice with "I'm beyond thrilled!!"  There are so many enjoyable features on this new online store so please allow me a moment to list a few:

    * Multiple variants of an album are combined and listed under one product page (my OCD is so pleased)
    * Cleaner look with large cover art images that make shopping more delightful
    * Improved customer accounts with up to date info about your order, it's status and once shipped, it's tracking number!!
    * Customers receive Email notification with tracking info once their order ships
    * Various payment options available including Shopify Pay which takes no % cut from Robo (unlike paypal)
    * "New Items To The Shop" section let's you keep up to date on all new additions and restocks to the store
    * About section has been spruced up with some fresh photos.
    * The Discography page is still horribly out of date but will be updated soon!  Promise!

There is much, much more, including a ton of features on the back end that make my life tremendously easier.  Certain aspects of this new shop even cut out a few steps in my packing and shipping process which means your orders will get shipped out to you faster.  I'll stop blabbering because there are more exciting things to announce below. I encourage you to click on the "New Items To The Shop" section as I won't be line listing the new editions and restocks in this update as I normally do.  I want to encourage you guys to browse through the "New Items To The Shop" area of the store and find out for yourself.  Items are listed in order of most recently added to oldest.  Check out the New Online Store now!

In celebration of the new online store launch I have stacks of free items to give away with every order!  It could be a 7", 10", 12", CD, DVD or even a T-shirt, so be sure to list your shirt size when you order just in case I'm tossing in a shirt for you.  I'll be randomly pulling from the distro, so it's whatever strikes my fancy.

Not only will everyone get a free item when they order, but if your order total is $40 or over (before shipping) you will get a freshly printed Robotic Empire T-Shirt!  This vintage "Old Man With Harp" image has been long out of print but has been resurrected especially for this new store launch!  "Old Man With Harp" is printed on army green Anvil Ringspun brand shirts with tan and black ink by those fine folks over at Broken Press in Seattle. Make sure to include your shirt size in the notes when you place your order.  If you don't want to order $40 just to get the new shirt, you can order it direct here - New Shirt

I want to thank Ali Croft of Skirven & Croft for her hard work on the new website and all her patience with me as I crawled out of the zencart dark ages!  Robo's intern, Kris Hannum, has been an indispensable help with getting this site up and running. So much data entry was needed and most all of that fell on Kris.  I can't thank him enough for the extreme detail he went into on every aspect I requested he complete.  Please be sure to check out his label, Conditions Records. Conditions Records releases are available to purchase in the Robo online store so add a few to your cart, or order direct from Kris, to help show your appreciation of all his hard work!  Last, but certainly not least, I say thank you to Deja for her detailed counting, counting, counting!  She was a stupendous help getting the physical inventory counted and up to date for the new store launch!  Plus she has a ferret named Ozzy which makes her all the more amazing in my book.  Deja will be on hand to help pack and ship those Jesu orders once the product arrives at Robo HQ later in August.  Thank you guys so much!  It's been a blessing to have such a reliable team supporting me in this major effort and new chapter for Robotic Empire!

Alright, I know everyone has been eagerly awaiting this announcement too, so here it is!

Jesu's Ascension is in production!  Thanks for all the inquiries and requests for this release over the years! I'm sorry it had to take so long but you will see it has been worth the wait!  The official release date is August 31st and you can place your pre-orders now on the BRAND SPANKIN NEW ONLINE STORE!!  Please remember that any additional items you add to your order won't ship until the Jesu records are in house.  I expect that to be around mid August.  Ascension has been remixed by Justin Broadrick and and remastered by James Plotkin.  Packaging for this beauty includes a gatefold jacket with matte finish and printed inner sleeves with full album lyrics.  500 have been pressed on black vinyl and 500 pressed on white vinyl.  A limited # of white copies come with a screenprinted cloth patch that displays the Jesu logo.  Go add this baby to your cart! - Order Ascension Here

You may have noticed that Thou's Peasant has been out of stock but no worries, it's currently being repressed.  I expect Peasant to be available and shipping just in time for their new release to drop August 31st via Sacred Bones.  A limited number of copies come with a luxuriously large 10" x 10" screenprinted cloth patch featuring the Horse Woman design and text from the shirt we printed last year.  Some folks have requested the ability to purchase the patch as a stand alone item so I've made that option available too (in case you already own the album but don't want to miss out on the patch).  I have to say, I really love this image, it's one of my favorites!  Order the Peasant repress here  & you can order the patch separately here - Patch Orders Here

I'm trying to keep this update short and sweet so you can cruise over to the new online store and have a look around.  If you happen to run into any bugs please use the contact form to notify me.  I hope you find some new music to add to your cart and enjoy this summer with friends!  I do want to recommend one new item in the distro that I can't seem to get off my turntable.  Check out Now, Now's album "Saved".

You guys are truly amazing!  I thank you so much for all the encouragement and support during this new online store launch and also for the excitement surrounding Jesu's Ascension.  I love reading all your comments and feel so fortunate to still be involved in this community after all these years!  Have a lovely July and make sure to spend time with friends and family!  Much Love!

roboticempire got a reaction from freezeflash in First Robotic Empire Distro Update of 2018
Happy New Year to everyone and I hope a great holiday break was had by all.  There's a decent amount of snow here at Robo HQ so snowmobiling, cross country skiing, , snowshoeing, snowy horseback rides, and lots of plowing have been enjoyed during the time off.  Keeping away from the computer for days at a time was lovey and a gorgeous full moon on the first day of 2018 was a real treat!

Well to start off the new year I have a great distro update for everyone to read over.  Some of this stock has been here for months and months but there just hasn't been time to get it processed and up on the online store.  If you glance through the lists below you'll see another City of Caterpillar record from Repeater Records is now in stock along with restocks on the Self-Titled 12".  Elder double LPs and restocks are up for sale in the store in addition to new releases from Accident Prone which includes that new House Of Low Culture 4-way split.  Elder Magick released a wonderful shoegaze album from Lacing that needs to be checked out.  I've restocked the Thou/Great Falls 7" from Hell Comes Home and from what I understand, these are the last of the last of them.  The "Accidents Grotesque" album from Great Falls is also available in the online store now.  Echo Canyon Records sent me a nice quantity of the Mihai Edrisch album on Maroon Colored Vinyl so grab those up.  Last but not least is a live album from Man Is the Bastard from 1992.

The restocks list isn't anything to skip over either!  Some may have seen over the holiday that I received back from an Austrian Distributor, a decent amount of oop Robotic Stock.  Please read below to find gems from Capsule, Floor, Nadja/A Storm of Light, Pygmy Lush, Ultra Dolphins, and the Whatever Nevermind Comp.

Magic Bullet restocks, Deathwish restocks, and Lovitt Records restocks.  Read below!

Over the course of their mere five-year existence, Sterling, Virginia’s Pageninetynine redefined what punk rock could be. This venerable squad of miscreants from the outskirts of the nation’s capital incorporated aspects of nearly every heavy music sub- genre into a tornado of punk fury, releasing a plethora of albums, singles, splits and more, touring relentlessly and inspiring a dedicated, diehard fanbase.

Robotic Empire is pleased to announce a timely re-press of the band’s landmark Document #8 album for availability during their September reunion shows!  Each show will benefit a local grassroots organization on the frontlines fighting for civil rights, LGBT rights, youth rights, immigrant and refugee rights, and reproductive rights and justice.

Through these shows, they aim to share a broader love for community in general. Beneficiary organizations will be tabling and speaking at events, and members of the band are available for comment about why they are choosing to organize a series of DIY punk shows as a site of resistance. Not only do the bands want showgoers to attend – they hope people will walk away from these events with a sense of how they can participate in building communities where people stand up for others through decisive action.

    The shows are as follows:

Sept. 21 – Broadberry, Richmond, VA to benefit Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project

Sept. 22 – St. Stephen’s, Washington, DC to benefit Casa Ruby

Sept. 23 – Baltimore, MD to benefit 901 Arts

Sept. 24 – First Unitarian Church, Philadelphia, PA to benefit Juntos

Sept. 25 – St. Vitus, New York City, NY to benefit New Sanctuary Movement NYC

Sept. 26 – Goldsounds, New York City, NY to benefit New York Legal Assistance Group

Sept. 27 – Great Scott, Boston, MA to benefit the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Action Coalition

Strictly limited to 500 copies, this newly repressed version of Document 8 comes on purple colored vinyl encased in purple silk screened jackets complements of Broken Press in Seattle, WA.  An 11x11, black and white booklet is also included.  Label copies will be arriving this week and orders will ship ASAP.  It's fun to see that depending on the light, the vinyl can have various shades of purple or pink! You can pick up your copy here:  Order the Document 8 Re-issue here!

I'm sure everyone read the announcement about the September 8th release we just had, but just for the heck of it, info on that spectacular album is listed again below for your consideration.  Remember that any orders for the Pyrit - UFO 12" come with a FREE Robotic Empire - Hawks T-shirt so be sure to list your shirt size in the notes when placing those orders!

Cinematic, profound and absorbing. PYRIT is the solo project of Swiss German Thomas Kuratli. This first album is the musical expression of an original literary project: the story of a journey into the body – dissolving to universe and transforming into an extraterrestrial machine.

Recorded in a parking lot , this album is full of ideas and vivid emotions while definitely pushing the limits of the oneman band. After moving from Zurich to Paris, Thomas started to work at his debut album UFO, originally drawn from Pyrit’s love of electronic, psychedelic and kraut he creates soundscapes of a deserted concrete- world, destruction and loneliness. Sometimes there is a glimpse of hope, sometimes there is not. Pyrit’s music is simultaneously loud and fragile, complex and simple, and always evolving.

Navigating between electronic psyche, gaunt blues and the soundtrack of a weightless film, Thomas exposes himself by donning the costume of a disenchanted crooner in search of the ultimate slow.

Appealing to fans of Low, David Lynch, Portishead and Kanye West' Yeezus, this is an album you will certainly want to check out.  A video for the powerful song, Dirt On the Ground, is up on youtube here - Dirt On The Ground Video   and a full album visual stream with lyrics is available here: Full Album Stream

Originally pressed by Bookmaker Records in France, the limited pressing quickly sold out. Now repressed as a split collaboration between Robotic Empire in the US and Bookmaker in France (international customers please order from Bookmaker), with freshly remastered audio specific to the more widespread vinyl release and upgraded packaging with 180 gram black vinyl and a high quality digital download included.

USA Customers Order Pyrit Here and get your FREE Robotic Empire Hawks T-shirt with purchase. (remember to let us know your shirt size in the notes of your order)

Some more upcoming releases in the works:  The Black Heart Procession 12" is currently in production and has a scheduled release date for late November.  The band will be also be going on tour that month!  Seems we may have some Daughters cassettes in the works and yes, that Jesu - Ascension is still on our radar.  That's all for now, thanks for the support, it's always deeply appreciated!

roboticempire got a reaction from kjkenney in Pyrit - UFO 12" Pre-Order, T-Shirt Giveaway, Distro Update, Torche 10" Mega Sale
Hi everyone.  There is a new September 8th release to announce and accept pre-orders for starting today!

Now repressed as a split collaboration between Robotic Empire in the US and Bookmaker in France, with freshly remastered audio specific to the more widespread vinyl release and upgraded packaging with 180 gram black vinyl and a high quality digital download included.

roboticempire got a reaction from CalebDW in Thou - Peasant 2x12" Available for Pre-Order Now!
Thanks for everyone's patience with the Peasant pre-orders.  Lot's going on over here, many things to juggle and only 2 hands.  I'm going to keep this short and sweet so let's get into it!
Before THOU released their 2014 Gambit Big Easy Award winning, Summit, they spent the spring of 2008 rushing to complete their second full-length, Peasant, in time for a month and a half trek across the United States. This record would be their last true album to abandon melody for the self indulgent, “Southern” styled riffing that had most of their early fans saying, “I thought you’d be bigger with more tattoos and beards.”
Originally released on vinyl by Level Plane Records, this edition has been remastered by Adam Tucker (Signature Tone Recording) and housed in a tip-on style gatefold jacket with 180gram black vinyl and a 20 page booklet. This double LP also offers the complete version, including the CD-only tracks from the To Carry a Stone EP (released in 2008 by Noxious Noize) as well as bonus tracks from the Malfeasance/Retribution EP (released in 2008 on Feast of Tentacles and Rimbaud) and an unreleased cover of "Aneurysm."

There are a limited number of copies that include a 9x3 screen printed cloth patch.  These are only available through Robotic Empire and the band on tour.  Thou will have their copies of Peasant starting on July 16th.

In addition to the re-issue we've printed up some fancy new T-shirts just for the Peasant release.  I have to say, I've been waiting a long time to print this shirt, one of my favorite images and I hope you guys like it too.  Printed on Bella Canvas shirts, made in the USA, there are sizes from Youth Large to Extra Large.
I'm expecting to have the Peasant albums in hand around the second week of July.  Once those arrive I'll be packing and shipping ASAP.  Official release date is July 28th.

roboticempire got a reaction from mcpherson123 in ISIS - Wavering Radiant 2x12” Now Available For Pre-Order! (And Everything Else Discussion)
Robotic Empire is extremely excited to announce pre-orders for a long requested re-issue!  Isis' - Wavering Radiant 2x12" is now available to order in the Robotic Empire Online Store: Order Wavering Radiant HERE!

Choose from Blue & White Splatter Colored Vinyl, Black & White Splatter Colored Vinyl, or Standard Black Vinyl.  We expect the records to arrive mid January and they will ship out ASAP after arrival.  Remember, if you are ordering other items along with the Wavering Radiant pre-order, those items will be held and will not ship until Wavering Radiant arrives to us.

The music of Isis is a suitable metaphor for their 12-year career; patient, meticulous, fraught with tension and gradually building towards an apex of seismic proportions. Isis have successfully navigated the process of growing and evolving without disavowing their initial vision. Wavering Radiant finds every component of the Isis armoury coming into equal play and becoming an audiophile’s dream. Grandiose without being over-indulgent, epic without compromising focus.Wavering Radiant is the fifth and final full-length album by American post-metal group Isis, last released by Ipecac Recordings in 2009 and produced by Joe Barresi and recently remastered for vinyl by Mika Jussila. It stands as Isis' last full-length album, as the band split just over a year after its release. The album continues Isis' history of lengthy songwriting, yet presents a slight departure from the soft-loud dynamics and post-metal aesthetic which characterized previous releases.Reviewers noted a continued increase in melody from previous releases, and many were quick to note an increased prominence of keyboardist Bryant Clifford Meyer's work, using a Hammond B3 organ. In keeping with Isis' retinue of concept albums, a thematic strand runs throughout, dealing with dreams and Jungian psychology. Robotic Empire is thrilled to once again to supply this gatefold, double-LP vinyl edition of ISIS’ classic album on black and limited colored vinyl!
